On-site restaurant with panoramic lake views and decent food. Breakfast vouchers given for each day of stay, but we still seemed to overpay for breakfast somehow. Our room was on the west wing, which seemed to be newer. The main building hallways seemed to buckle under foot like old plywood. The west wing floors were solid. Our room, upon entering, had a stale musty smell masked with a fresh deodorizer scent. The bed was nice and firm. The AC was amazing. We paid for lake view, but got a side facing window. Technically lake view, and it was pretty with beach and seagulls, but will blind you if you look out at sunset. Fridge worked great, TV was good. Bathroom was clean, but not ideal. The toilet seemed to be a short, mini kid's toilet, it also barely flushed. The counter seemed rigged up and was cracking. The shower knob is unmarked and hard to navigate. The shower head is low, I had to duck to get my head under it. The water pressure was great. But if the neighbor was also showering, expect to battle for hot and cold. And like most places we've stayed, the bathroom exhaust fan is useless. We had to open the bathroom door to unfog the mirror. Overall, it's dated, but clean, with nice scenery. We would stay again.

Liked the view, very clean pool and jacuzzi. Beds were not comfortable.

Although this property is a bit dated in the rooms, it was clean, quiet and safe. The location on the water is very nice especially in winter. Breakfast was decent too. I would stay here again on gameday to avoid Green Bay.

Lake view, staff friendliness,

Stunning view from restaurant. Staff very friendly. Great location & easily accessed.

We are so happy we found this place. We reserved a room with lake view. Our room faced water, we could see Manitowoc as well across the way and as some have mentioned it was just lovely to have water lap the shore right outside room window, which open! So relaxing! We enjoyed the breakfast stipend in their restaurant. It was delicious and the view of Lake Michigan was Zen. Their bar shares the same veiw but nicely feels like its own space as well. The pool is indoors and nice enough, we enjoyed it first thing at 7am, away from kids/busier times. There is small workout room, laundry facility and a great walking path along the lake that goes for miles. We had microwave and mini fridge in our room and a small recliner. We know we will return many times. Convenient location in region. Lighthouse Inn is located near lots of options, all well within a hour or so drive. We visted the Rogers Street Fishing Village in Two Rivers. If you appreciate history, especially nautical this place is a gem! Five minutes away and five dollars! Is Lighthouse dated? Kind of maybe, But for that Im thankful. If it were more modern, Id have tougher time affording it. Most importantly Lighthouse Inn is clean and comfortable and we are fans!

Clean, comfy room with a great view! Easy, in-&-out parking. You are on the water, but there is no water access. Breakfast was included at the adjacent restaurant. Small portions, but very enjoyable.

I loved the fact it was right on Lake Michigan. It's awesome waking up with a lake view every morning. The walk on the beach was pleasant. It's a little older but very nice with a good restaurant to boot. I can't wait to come back and stay again. Thanks.

Stepping back into the 70's, this property has been beautifully preserved. From the original woodwork and elegant light fixtures, they have done well not to upgrade except where necessary. However, they should make note that the fish tank in the dining room is in need of a thorough cleaning. Also, the walls around the hot tub are badly in need of attention. Additionally, someone should take an hour to pick up the hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground along the backside. An outdoor ashtray (or a few) would help accomodate the smokers and resolve this litter issue. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the lake. The dinner appetizers (cheese nuggets, salad, french onion soup) were absolutely delicious. The whitefish and seafood stuffed sole, however, were not just "bad"....but very bad. Regretfully, "yuck" to both. The service was great. We will return, as it was a lovely getaway. Just don't look at the fish tank or hot tub walls, and avoid the fish entrees. Overall, better than expected and worth 5-stars for this dedicated family-owned effort to please. Highly recommend.

Very well maintained old school property. Menu at restaurant uninspired but ok. Location on the lake very nice. Would stay again.

Great job - Jeff that checked us in was awesome.

The food was amazing! Lake view was impressive, and enjoyed the outdoor seating/walkway. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Property is aged Does have a Restaraunt and bar on site. Room was spacious, lake view. Comfortable furniture in the room.

Great restaurant and terrific views of Lake Michigan.

I was welcomed most heartily and sincerely...at 2AM on the day of my arrival (I did notify them in advance). I stayed for four nights. The included breakfast is freshly made, with plenty of choices. The dining room wait staff sport genuine smiles and they are most accommodating (very best regards to Ivy). I ate several meals here, and the food is great..breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Everything in the hotel is reasonably clean and in order. The one small disappointment was that the housekeeping staff did not vacuum some sand off of the carpet that had accidentally spilled out of my shoes when I took them off one night. The sand was still there one day after they had cleaned the room. I thought that they would have vacuumed. No big deal...just a little surprised. I have been coming here since it opened as the Carlton some decades ago, and I will continue to do so. I look forward to my next visit.

Right on Lake Michigan, view from restaurant/bar beautiful and I imagine if you pay for a lake room, nice view too. Nice breakfast included. Frig., microwave, coffee. Rooms horribly outdated. No full length mirror, blow dryer, clocks, outlets. Lamps bolted down, knobs missing on furniture, very old looking spreads and bedding. Holes in blanket.

We loved the view of the lake. The restaurant was good.

Enjoyed my stay at your Inn. Loved the lake view! Service was excellent, and I was able to add another day on my stay.
