This Travelodge is an older building but everything worked OK. It's in a convenient location next to lots of dining options. No coffee in the room or office but a Starbucks is next door. The Chinese restaurant next door had a good teriyaki bowl.
The room was clean, manager was friendly and accommodating. In all a very pleasant stay.
This is the ultimate 'budget' hotel right on I-15, halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless one just needed a bed to crash for a few hours before moving on. The shortcomings are numerous. From the check-in in the tiny 'lobby', to the room which looked and smelled old, to the amenities like the bar of miniature bath soap, to the electric plug that couldn't even hold in the cord that was plugged in, this hotel is a big 'no'. When I opened the door, the smell was not fresh. On top of those things, the hotel is located near a busy intersection with railroad tracks nearby, so noise is definitely a factor. There was nothing about the hotel that was warm and welcoming and I would pay the extra money to stay at one of the other Barstow hotels.
I was not happy that I reserved a non-smoking with Orbitz and I was given a smoking room. I had to pay extra for a non-smoking. The lady at the desk told me that Orbitz often lies to consumer about kind of room they will get but once you check in that is not the room you will receive. The lady at the desk suggests that I make reservations directly to hotel and not use Orbitz. 😮.
The best part of my stay was when I left.
After i cleaned and wiped down all the dirt, which was nasty, i slipped off my shoes to find the carpet wet. Really wet! Neal came down and spent a grear del of time sucking up the water. It didn't do any good . Still wet. To top it of there was NO HOT WATER TO TAKE A SHOWER. Bad!!!!
The property is next to a 24 hour restaurant so from our room we could hear every order. We did not have a very good sleep. I would not recommend this hotel.
Close to both freeway 15 and 40. Close to various eating establishments. Parking for cars or smaller trucks. No rv parking.
Room minimal. Breakfast was less than minimal able to fit on one tiny table with white bread and muffins that were one bite only.
It was quiet except for the sound of the trains. The cable worked great

The front desk was courteous. Room was nice, bed was comfortable.
We slept just fine here, no complaints. Room was great and AC worked.
The good thing... Cheap and on the way to Vegas The bad thing... Everything else. It was dirty and we found a couple of ginormous roaches that looked like a science experiment. There was a mysterious spot on the comforter. The people outside were creepy. Yup that sums it up. If you like roaches... This is a perfect place for you!
Nice staff, "scary area" pool is very small and cold. You can do much better than this is you go to the newer areas on the south end of town. The room felt very unsecure (hollow very light door). Parking was limited for anything larger than a small car. The pictures online are not representative of the real place. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
