The staff that check us in was OK. The room was very dirty the love seat and body fluids on it. Got locked out of the room twice. the overnight staff was very unwilling to get card fixed to get back in the room that night seem like it was troubling him to to get the card fixed. Would not recommend this hotel at all for nothing.

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed. No towels or toilet paper. Security staff are no help and can not tell the truth. It need it's license revoked

There was no toilet paper in the room upon late check-in, so we requested some be brought to us. At 11:25pm an employee brought the toilet paper to our room. At midnight, the SAME employee let himself into our locked room as we slept. Having been startled awake at the intrusion, we aggressively confronted him regarding the reason for his entry. He stammered and could not give a reason for his inappropriate MIDNIGHT entry. He was well aware the room was occupied by 2 females as just 30 minutes prior he had delivered the requested toilet paper to our room. This facility is not only sketchy, but it is unclean and unsafe...even from the hotel employees.

Very sketchy place. There was no toilet paper and it took 3 calls to reach someone actually on the property and not at a national call center. Had to have them bring us toilet paper to our room. Then at midnight the same "Courtesy Officer" employee entered our room as we slept. Horrible facility, worst place and staff I've ever encountered.

The room was dirty. The phone was filthy and didn't even work. There was hair on my bed and the ice machine never had ice

If you think you are checking into a Homewood Suites by Hilton, think again. This place is far from it. I'm not sure what it was before being branded this quaint and inviting hotel, but it's a dive in disguise. The one queen studio w sofa sleeper has a kitchenette. The room was grimy. The carpet was crunchy. Even the clock radio was covered in yuck. The bed was lumpy. Would you like to hang up your coat? Bring your own hangers. Need soap or shampoo? We had to call the front desk and go across the parking lot to get it. How about sheets for the sofa bed (love seat size- don't expect to put 2 teens in it)? Make another trip - in the rain - the staff said she wouldn't go out because it was raining... Blanket for the sofa? Nope. Extra pillow? Sorry... Be sure to heed the warning that the scant dishes are not 'professionally cleaned' because I used one to crush the HUGE cockroach that scurried over my son's foot! But hey, the wifi was excellent. That's worth 1 star.

The hall way stunk really bad ,the rooms were old in model and everything in it except the tv no batteries in the remote the Clerk didn't have any But if you need somewhere to sleep it was ok the price should have been maybe $20 cheeper convenient area.

Plan far in advance so that you do not have to stay here. Got in late--no sheets/pillows in room for sofa bed, that had been requested. Three tiny pillows for king size bed. Sofa bed dirty--candy rolled out when we opened it up. No extra amenities. Young man at office was very nice, but it appeared that no one had been trained at this facility. Office closes, and you have to call to get anything after 9 pm. Wait may be 30 minutes or more--and they're not happy to hear from you either. Stay away.

i think this hotel is very good and fit for family!

We have traveled all over the world and this hotel is the worst we have ever stayed in!!!! Rooms smell awful, black mold in the shower, cigarette burns all over the comforters. Absolutely awful. No daily maid services. In order to get clean towels one has to bring soiled ones to the office and wait 30min for clean ones. We were in town for 2 days for graduation. Spent most of the time in the mall, were dreading to go back to the room. We stayed at the studios. Take this place off your list. We felt like we were in a 3rd world country/

This hotel is very old and shouldn't be in business.

The units in front were older and not very nice for the price. The bldg in the rear seemed newer

We stayed Friday and Saturday night of a Game Day weekend in a studio room. The staff was professional and courteous. There was a problem with our reservation and they did all they could to assist us in correcting the problem. This is a 2 star hotel, but was adequate for our needs for the weekend. Room was clean, staff was helpful and pleasant. Hotel was convenient for getting back and forth to campus and our daughter's apartment. Continental breakfast is very basic, just pre-packaged cereal and muffins, juice, milk, coffee and bagels, but was enough to get us started for the day.

I booked this hotel for my family for homecoming weekend. The rate was high, but the description and photos looked nice and the location was close to campus. When we checked into our non-smoking room you could smell smoke in the hallways and even in our room. I assured my wife this was a non-smoking room and that it would be fine. When my kids began questioning the cleanliness and the dirty sheets, I knew it was a bad choice. It wasn't until I was ready to go to bed that I noticed burn holes in the sheets and comforter from the cigarettes. We had originally booked two nights, but cancelled the second night and checked out as soon as possible. I will NOT be staying here again!

This hotel attempts to do the best they can. This is a very basic hotel, that has no thrills. The bathrooms and kitchen area are a little dirty. The staff does the best they can

This was a great experience at this Hotel. This was the first time I have stayed here and I will make my next reservation with this Hotel. All of the Staff members were excellent. Could have not asked for a better stay.

Dropped son off at college. Second time staying at this hotel over a three year period. Should have learned my lesson after the first stay. It has gotten worse. Room air conditioner unplugged and knobs removed by management. "Not cool" for August in Tuscaloosa. Sweated all night. Got out of room asap in morning to cool off in car air conditioning. Bathroom fixtures were clean, but toilet seat was almost broken and bathroom walls and door looked absolutely filthy. Avoid this place if possible.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.... I was a bit alarmed by some men standing around the back of the building and as I opened the side door with my key... One of the men just rushed in behind me.... I have to admit, I felt somewhat nervous. The gentleman couldn't speak English as he tried to communicate with me.... I didn't know if he was trying to help me with my luggage or what?.... I brushed him off... By just waving my hands to say NO thanks!.... It was a bit concerning..... Overall, it was a good stay....

Conveniently located for dropping off son for his freshman year at university of Alabama . Hotel check in was bizarre . No desk, no lobby no smiles no amenities. The room was dirty . Sheets were stained . Area seemed quite safe. I would bring my own sheets if I had to stay here again.

Arrived late afternoon and shocked by unkempt lobby. Fine chk in experience with friendly staff. Room was clean and a good value from what I see. Lobby was better by ck out next morn...I would return for that price point...maybe just caught on a bad day....
