I loved the location because it’s right on the beach and there is dining and shopping across the road.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We did bring our dog. She’s older and very well mannered and groomed. The room they gave us, room 718, smelled so strong of pet odor when we got there. It was late at night, but did mention it to the front desk. They said they would do a freshen up the next day. I’m not sure if they did or not. We had to buy an air freshener plug in just to tolerate the odor.
The floors felt sticky and dirty. The bathroom smelled of mold and had mold on the ceiling above the shower head. There was also a lingering dirty bathroom smell. The tub was very slow to drain. When showering, we were standing in water.
The website stated that our dog would be $75, but we were charged $125 for her stay. Hampton claimed to be pet friendly, but really the only place our girl could go with us was from the room to outside to use the restroom. Dogs aren’t allowed on the patio where we would’ve enjoyed a drink and the beach view.
Overall the staff was great and location was also wonderful. However, it wasn’t quite clean enough for me to stay there again, especially for the price.
