location is very good. near the lake. rooms clean. swimming pool is small and not clean. and the short hair girl at reception is not acting good to customers if the boss women is not near to her. otherwise enviroment is very special. this was in summer session.

Everything was perfect. Location is right on the beach, balcony view to the beach Hotel has lots of games for kids to borrow, pop corn and etc Overall very satisfied.

We stayed only one night but loved this hotel. The studio room was perfect for me and my boyfriend. Kitchen was well supplied with dishes, napkins, and cookware. Murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable! Soft, clean sheets. Right on the water! Cute and cozy hotel. Definitely will stay again.

best hotel ever stay. It is very good for family or friends hang out.

rooms were old, carpets were dirty, smell was bad. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody

Overall it is awesome. We were expect 2 bathroom that was writing on the website but we actually have one in the room.

We enjoyed are stay for two days. The first nite we stayed on the lake side of the resort. I found the room to be comfortable and roomy. Great view of the lake from our room. The bed was very comfortable. The second nite we stayed at the resort across the highway. This room like the other was comfortable. The room 501 was close to the road so it was noisy. We didn't spend that much time in the room and were tired so the noise didn't bother my sleep. Try to stay on the lake side, the location is much better.

Small room, packed with a bunch of amenities and a perfect view of Lake Tahoe shore. The view really does not get any better. However, their bathroom window placement was not thought thoroughly. Some minus there.

good location, quiet ,trees, near Lake Tahoe. Our room was across the street from the lake. Nice room with kitchenette.

We booked a studio for 4 guests. The room is smaller than we expected. No bedroom. One bed pulled out from the wall and the other converted from sofa. Neither bed is comfortable. At least I did not have good sleep. The location of the hotel is wonderful. The hotel owns multiple blocks of rooms. Our room is located across the street from the lobby, which is a little bit inconvenient for us. Next time we should book the rooms on the other side, which are remodeled and are closer to the beach. The staff are nice and helpful. But they open only from 9am to 9pm everyday.

We had a family gathering here with 5 famiies arriving. Plenty of activities for the kids. Swimming, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, pool, jacuzi, and of course the lake at your doorstep. All included in your stay. Also activities for kids like cookie decorating. Very nice place. Would recomemd to anyone with kids or without kids.

We stayed in their mountainside area which is actually split from the rest of the resort by a busy road. Our unit was clean but dark and dated. The exterior of the unit's paint was peeling, however the newsletter did state they would be painting soon. The Murphy bed was too small/uncomfortable for two adults. Nothing terribly wrong just not where we would choose to spend a whole lot of time.

My family visited this resort just for one night and it is definitely a place we will come back to. The hotels/studios are clean and had everything you could need for an overnight stay. We will be back with friends and family for a longer week stay soon. The best part was having a private beach thats not too crowded and a great pool/ lawn area and a place to hang out at night.

After seeing the unflattering picture of this property, I had low expectations for this hotel, but it was a last minute booking. As it turns out, the property has had a complete renovation! Everything had been completely redone and was either new or almost new. The property, while not flashy, was in great condition. The kitchen was completely stocked with brand new pans, pots, dishware, and silverware. The stove and fridge were in new condition, and were more than adequate for my needs. The pool and the hot tub were in great condition, the latter was much appreciated after a long day of skiing!

Nice cozy place.

We loved Tahoe Sands. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was great, kitchenette has everything you should need to make gourmet breakfasts and post-ski dinners, bed was comfortable, location was superb. Will definitely recommend to friends and visit again.

skiing

The service was excellent, warm and inviting. the room was the smallest I have ever seen but adequate for needs. It was my 14 year old daughter and I.

We spent the day skiing at Alpine Meadows the weather was great and everybody enjoyed the day. We arrived at the place tired and sore We were greeted by friendly staff and were in the hot tub wathcing the sun set over lake tahoe in minutes. The place was the right size 1 bedroom for us and fold out couch for the kids. Nothing fancy but worked for us.

I've stayed here twice actually. Once in a 1 bedroom unit and once in a studio. And despite the negative reviews this has on Yelp, this place was not bad for my needs. The room does feel dated with a CRT TV and old furnishings where the room looks like it was built in the 70s, but in terms of pricing and what you get, it was not bad. The rooms were relatively clean and I thought it was quite cozy. There's a small kitchenette with utensils and some kitchen cookware and appliances to use. I never used it besides making coffee and boil hot water, but as long as you're not planning a gourmet dinner, then it should be fine. The beds are not the most comfortable especially the sofa bed, but its sleepable especially after being on the slopes all day. I think for a budget lodge, I recommend to come here if you're staying for a short trip in North Tahoe.
