It was very neat to stay here but the hotel wasn't as clean as we would have liked. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom area. Like someone shaved there head and didn't clean it up. The problem was take care of very quickly but very odd. Its a beautiful property that i will probably stay at again.

I was very plwase with the presentation of the room. Only concern is when we requested fresh clean towels they just left them on the floor in front of my room which i felt was very unsanitary. ALSO not once throughout the 7 days did i recieve service to change the bed linen.

The front staff was kinda rude when I checked in. Also my toilet was clogged and there was poo in it when I arrive. They fixed it immediately however it was still unpleasant

This is a lovely, historic inn that's fun to explore. The rooms are big and very comfortable and there are many common areas to sit and relax in.

Love the unique property. Very good value. Stay across from the "Jimmy Stewart" room. Have stayed here a few times over the years. Word I would use is Quaint. Slight musty smell in some areas; Cleaner perhaps? I would pay a little for a convenient continental breakfast.

Gteat old property, rooms could use a little updating, but otherwise very nice

Like stepping back in time. Wonderful efforts to restore the Inn. Some areas completed, others not so much. All staff we encountered were happy to be of assistance and appeared to be proud of working at the Inn. The restaurant is wonderful. We had both dinner and breakfast there. We travel between Norcal and Socal regularly and will definitely stop here again.

I had a pleasant 5 day stay. The hotel is in a great location. It gets extremely busy on the weekend, especially Saturday. Food is okay. I would suggest eating out to save money.

This is a very classy and historic in located in the middle of beautiful Santa Maria. It has a very nice swimming pool, great place to enjoy a delicious breakfast, and a cool English pub with a dj spinning good music. The staff is very helpful and attentive.

The room was run down stained carpets peeling paint and horrible smell had to put towels down in front door and to ajoining room door to block the light and noise

Old, small town, one star hotel; bad smell, and bad location

I had a very lovely stay at the inn. The room was comfortable, clean, and the bed and pillows so wonderful. I loved exploring the place as the history of it is what attracted me to it in the first place. The staff were all friendly and helpful.Overall, the inn itself is worth a stay. However, I would've loved to have had wine and appetizers in the Wine Bar but, it closed early that evening because there were no patrons after two hours of being open. I was disappointed and believe that a bar/restaurant has to stay open during the stated hours. It was only 7:30 pm. when I wanted to go. I'm sure other hotel patrons were disappointed, as well. So, I went and ate in the Pub room and had some good white wine, really good onion rings, and a Caesar salad that came out with only half the stated ingredients. Which leads me to the food provided at the restaurant. Although attractively served, the fish tacos were very bland and, as stated above, the Caesar salad came without croutons or Parmesan cheese; two staples of that type of salad. I would definitely stay at the inn again and visit the Pub room but will not eat at the restaurant again. And, next time, I'm trying the pool and spa!

Everything was decent. Spacious room. Would stay here again.

Old style design was interesting. Shows its history.

The halls are so narrow. People had conversation outside our door. How rude! Thanks for exercise room! Too cold out to run.
