To start I want to say that I’m not the kind of person that nitpicks or complains about everything, I’m usually pretty content. However, I was very disappointed with the hotel and accommodations and felt it was important to give a review. To start my room was not ready at check-in time, no big deal until I entered my room to an awful smell. It smelled like it was cleaned with dirty rags/mops. I was told the musky smell was from the new air conditioner units they offered to spray my room with air freshener. There was several areas throughout the hotel with funky smells. The mattress was very uncomfortable, it was firm but not what you would expect. The best way to describe it was it felt like I was sleeping on cardboard covered in plastic. On day 2 I tried to check out early but was told I would be charged a cancelation fee equal to the cost of the room per day. By this time I realized that I could have gotten nicer hotel with not much more per night as I had stayed in Redding before. The free breakfast consisted of carbs and more carbs; cereal, toast, bagels, and waffles. The only healthy options where apples and instant oatmeal. Only a few small tables to sit and eat. Later that afternoon, I found that the room had not been cleaned. Guest Services indicated that they would have someone come out while I left for the afternoon and it did not get cleaned.
Kept on hearing the front doors close and it made noise from my unit.
Room door didn't latch unless slammed, no exhaust fan in bathroom, continental breakfast was empty long before the time noted, lights out in parking lot leading to property stolen out of our boat and off another vehicle.
Nice staff. The facility shows some wear. The room was large and clean. Reasonably quiet. The breakfast selection was disappointing. There are no eating places close. 3 miles south you will find numerous restaurants. Nothing really negative.
Hotel is very dated Tv old You can see light through door when closed
Fine value. Good night of sleep and simple breakfast
We showed up late around 11pm expecting to be checked in, and the front desk attendant tells us that somebody cancelled our reservation which had already been paid for up front. After waiting for 30 minutes, he managed to get us into the only room he had available which happened to have a stench of mold that smacked me in the face as soon as I opened the door. It was late and we had a bed to sleep on after being on the road for 13 hours, so I opened the window and we tried to sleep through it. In the morning I quickly found out why there was a moldy smell as our entire bathroom began to flood from the bathroom upstairs leaking water (or at least what we hope was water). We had to put towels down all over the bathroom floor to be able to shower without stepping out into a pool of water. There were no napkins available for the breakfast. There was no toaster available for the bagels, and only one waffle maker was functioning, so there was a ridiculously long line to use it. I asked if there was a manager on duty and the front desk attendant responded that the manager left about 3 or 4 days ago and they had no contact, "which is why the place is falling apart". After having a positive experience at a Ramada Limited in Seattle on our road trip, this was by far the worst hotel experience I ever had.
We booked 5 rooms in total 2 King beds and 3 x 2 Queen Beds, on arriving at the hotel we were told that we have only the confirmation for 2 x 2 queen beds. It being the long weekend we did not have any other option in Redding and had to accommodate with 3 little kids and families. Conflicting and absurd answers by orbitz, night front desk, the hotel manager on the phone and the day front desk, wasn't sure whom to believe and trust. The manager sounded as though he was offering a favour by allowing us to stay
By far the worst stay EVER !!! I booked 5 hotel rooms for the independance day weekend, but was told I have only 2 queen bedrooms. The hotel front desk said no confirmation was provided to them by Orbitz. We were a group of 12 people including 3 kids (all <2yrs) and 3 ladies, we were provided only 2 rooms to share, with no other option in hand. After a lot of back and forth between Orbitz and the front desk and lost sleep we were told that there was no option available than to share the rooms. We were NOT provided any rollaway bed instead were handed 3 blankets to make our own bed. The manager meant to be "Grateful" by allowing us to share the room at no extra cost and that's the best he had. It seems the hotel overbooked or oversold the hotel rooms at a pricier point being 4th of July and couldn't keep up with their booking. All in all this seems to be shady practices
They don't rent to locals and I almost not get the room that I reserve
We've been staying at this Ramada for over 10 years and quite frequently because we stay there when visiting our parents. It is starting to show it's wear and is out dated.
Coffee was bad, hair dryer and 2 electrical outlets didn't work. It was close to relatives
Thankfully we were there for 1 night. The beds were really uncomfortable, mattresses set on box frame. Nothing to brag about.
Swimming was fun kids had a blast! Room was clean and comfortable no complaints
Your reservation indicated I would be charged $94.63, which I thought was reasonable enough. But the Ramada hotel gave me a receipt showing the charge was $78.56. My credit card was charged for the $94.63 sum, but to date not for the $78.56 figure. Please explain this discrepancy.
Helpful staff, clean room, good rate. Bed was a bit firm for us seniors.
Restaurant was excellent. Staff nice. Shower water was actually very hot...beds were comfy. .
Was ok. Room was clean. Front desk person was on the phone like 10 minute, even when she was on hold she didn't greet me or smiled at me at all. She pretty much didn't say a word, totally ignored me till my turn.
I expected better. When I arrived, there's a sign on the counter for cash customers, which made me feel a little uneasy. I didn't think it was a motel 6 type place. The keys didn't work the first time and we had to have them re activated. The shower curtain rod was missing a screw and fell on my 4 year old son during a bath. When I went to call the front desk, I discovered the phone had no dial tone and was broken. My husband went down to the front desk and couldn't find anyone. I called on my cell phone, was placed on hold, and disconnected. I called back and was offered a different room, but it was 9pm and I just wanted to sleep. The fitness center included 2 ancient machines: a manual treadmill and stair stepper. I will not be staying at Ramada again.
It was right off of Hwy 5, only a mile north from Redding downtown, where I had a business trip there. it was worth of money that I paid.
