This hotel was fine for my one night stay. The room smelled a little odd, but I think it had been disinfected...

You get what you pay for... as far as the rooms go it is an outdated inn. Friendly staff, cleanliness was average, bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Mattress was hard, pillows are way too thick, I didn't sleep well here.

It was a great place to stay and get in and out of the park.

Motel is close to stores, restaurants, shopping and the express way. Hotel is owned and managed by one family.

Stayed there two nights to visit Mt. Rushmore and explore the Black Hills area for the first time. Check in was quick and easy (thank you, Gayle!). I stayed in room 202 which concerned me because it overlooks the lobby area and I was worried about noise. To my surprise I didn't notice guest noise such as slamming doors, people talking, etc but did notice street noise. Room was spacious and clean. The bed was a spring mattress but comfortable enough. The linens and towels were fresh, clean, and the bathroom was clean. TV channel selection was very good. The breakfast didn't interest me (containers of cereal and gallons of milk, bagels, and Jimmy Dean sandwiches). Hotel is located near the interstate and plenty of shopping and dining. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again if I find myself in Rapid City. Thank you Foothills Inn!

Friendly staff and a nice lobby. Rooms were spacious and clean. It's nice to be able to stay in a hotel with a good bit of local flavor, and not have it be part of a chain.

The hotel and room were fine. Orbitz didn't send the booking through. We had to check in very late due to a delayed flight and at 1 a.m. in the morning, it's not pleasant to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the hotel staff to find a reservation.

Great price. Rooms were clean but a little wear and tear. Bagels, cereal, and breakfast sandwiches were available for breakfast. Staff was very nice.

Well maintained and comfortable hotel. Limited breakfast, but cost of room was relatively low.

Orbitz didn't notify about pets and I experienced grief. The website stated no limit pet policy after the fact did and even said I could be charged fees for no advance notification. The motel was good but the pet policy needs addressing at the forefront.

Nice hotel on the budget, stay over 1 night on the way to Yellowstone.

Excellent stay at a peak time of year. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I Loved all the flowers in the pool area. We arrived late and everyone was hungry. The Perkins right next door, within easy walking distance, was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

Not the Ritz but more than adequate with pleasant staff. Breakfast was minimal

Stayed here to take early out air travel the next am. Christmas eve. Festive, cheery staff, clean, quiet,room. Very happy with stay.

Needed a quick place to stay overnight to see Mount Rushmore in the morning. This hotel was prefect for the price and was a quick drive to Mount Rushmore. Nothing fancy.

The hotel was located near restaurants and easy access for us to do all of the sight seeing that we had planed. The breakfast offerings were great.
