My husband and I booked the Marriott for a special occasion. We'd both been there before and enjoyed the pool and relaxing outdoor area. Upon arrival, the room we were given has a molding falling off the wall and some bizarre dirt/debris combo on the toilet seat. We were graciously moved to a more spacious room. But overall, special requests were confused and there was a general lack of warmth or care. Even standard, included amenities were flubbed or missing. Pool was nice, but could have been cleaner. For the price, not sure we'll be returning.

The iron was not working Instead of two queen beds we were offered two double beds Overall: not upto the five star standards one expects from Marriott

My family stayed here for one night and we thought the experience was just okay. The room was fine but the whole hotel was in desperate need of a cosmetic update. It feels extremely dated and age is starting to show. Also, the location is okay for business travelers who don't really want to walk anywhere but not good if you want to just walk downtown to dinner. It is right next to a major roadway. The redeeming factor was that they had a pool. My husband and son were able to have a nice swim. However, there were three adults (firemen?) obviously drinking beers in the pool and a child diving, being loud, and making a general ruckus, which was kind of shocking to see given that there are signs posted everywhere about no diving. Also, the pool bathrooms were pretty disgusting. If they are going to have a pool then they need to maintain it.

I enjoyed my stay but room are slightly small and the bathroom is super small.the elevator needs cleaning and servicing you can hear the door making a scraping sound..the rugs In the halls are dirty.also the noise levels are high even at 130am..waking me up several times at night...also on billing I found extra charges in my credit card from this hotel that, they can't explain...

We stayed on a Sat night and although the hotel seemed pretty full it was pretty quiet in our room on the 6th floor. Pool, hot tub, and workout center pretty good and plenty of parking. Don't confuse this Marriott with the other one nearby, this is the one north or the State House. Staff was very nice

The Marriott downtown is a great location which is about a half mile walk to all of the bars on Exchange st. The room was great, we at first had A/C issues but they came right up and fixed it and gave us a coupon for 2 free appetizers. The room was clean, though we didn't get to use the pool they do have a really neat indoor that goes to the outside pool and bar area.

Very nice hotel that has all the amenities you need .

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating upon arrival and throughout the stay, including a helpful free shuttle service that went to the train station, federal hill. Location was a disaster. Two drug addicts were fighting in the hotel parking lot at 10am on a Wednesday. Rooms were average - but clean - but the cable guide went out one day and still wasn't fixed 48 hours later. The quality of the food was poor but room service was prompt. I would not return and have had much better experience at comparable hotels elsewhere in Providence, and for less money.

Staff are nice and friendly to guests. Comfortable envirement. Clean room.

the description says "down town Marriot "steps away from..... its not down town its about a mile away. when i asked about this description i was told that when the hotel was built that section of providence was the down town. the location was very disappointing

Very friendly staff! Free parking and Starbucks in the lobby.

The hotel was average. Staff was friendly, breakfast was below average

The experience was average, there were no king rooms left so were forced to stay in a room with two doubles. No major issues

everything was fine nice and quite very peaceful. Staff was very helpful and polite.

Room was not big but "OK". Pool, exercise room were above average. Personally do not like the beds or pillows in this chain. While only about one mile away from Downtown and the University, about half of that distance is not in a great area for walking. No close restaurants.

We stayed overnight to drop of my niece to Johnson and Wales University. Fantastic staff, and just a short drive away. Will return when I visit my niece.

My husband and I spent just one night at this hotel to attend a wedding in Providence. We were grateful for the free parking available and we were very pleased with the room; It was very clean (which is the most important thing to me) and the beds were very comfortable. The room was quiet with just the right amount of 'white noise' for sleeping with air conditioning. I appreciate being able to adjust the temperature in the room ourselves. There was a beautiful indoor /outdoor pool and sitting area that I wished we had time to make use of. The hot breakfast buffet is not included, but worth every penny of the $15 charge. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely stay here again.

The Marriot Downtown was an amazing and beautiful hotel. It was very, very luxurious and comfy. The staff was super friendly and professional.

We spent 3 nights here while visiting Providence to attend my son's graduation from Brown University. We coudn't have had a better location. We took advantage of the free shuttle service for both graduation events at Brown and sight-seeing in Providence. The hotel's concierge, [...], was top notch with recommemdations and coordinating the shuttle service. The hotel itself had modern clean rooms, a great outdoor pool area and a spacious lobby, making it a perfect gathering place. Will stay here next time we're in Providence.

We were there for a gymnastic competition at the Twin River Casino. The hotel was excellent, family friendly. I just wish I had more time to enjoy the breakfast that was included with our hotel stay.
