Reserved a room for Saturday night, the hotel called while I was pulling in at 11pm to tell me that they double booked my room and didn’t have another room available. I had to spend over a half hour in the parking lot looking for a hotel. As a very loyal Hyatt customer, I found this to be very unacceptable.

The property still has the essences of days when large conference rooms were necessary. Property was clean and well maintained, just a little dated is all. I had planned for the property to have a business center, seeing it was known on its past life as a business catering property, but unfortunately it did not and I had to run around town to find a printing vendor to print some documents I needed for a morning meeting. (Flew in that day).

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Princeton, NJ, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from the Hilton brand. We checked in during the early morning hours, and the service was disappointing from the start — no greeting, no welcome, not even a simple acknowledgment. When we entered our room, it had a strong, musky odor that lingered throughout our stay. The bathroom drain didn’t drain properly and kept water pooled after each use, which made it unpleasant to use. To make matters worse, our room was never cleaned the next day. When we asked about it, we were told our room wasn’t “on the list.” They handed us fresh towels but still didn’t clean the room. Overall, the stay felt neglected and poorly managed. For the price and the Hilton name, I expected much better service, cleanliness, and attention to guests.
