Convenient and cozy historic hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk. The elevator ride alone was worth the trip. We stayed in the Gold Bug room and it was quite comfortable. The shower was lovely.

It is a very unique looking building with charming stained glass displays, a gorgeous courtyard and quaint room setups.

Close to shops, restaurants and town. All walkable.

Rude Staff. Parking was good. Location was good. Noisy from bar activity across the street.

We loved the history of the hotel. The lobby was beautiful and the furnishings were authentic. The beds were very comfortable.

Historic charm. In town location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and an electric car charger.

Our room was only half ready at 7 pm - it looked like the maid service left half way through the job. The front desk ckerk had to finish preparing our room. He was very apologetic snd helpful.

Loved the historic vibe at the Cary House: from the 1926 elevator to the wide assortment of antiques and care taken in room appointments. Great location for anything you want to do in Placerville.

The historical ambience is enchanting. It's a lovely hotel.

Cute but small rooms, adding to reach minimum characters.

Cool experience in a cool hotel. Loved the room names and the ambiance of the place.

Great location, close to Apple Hill. This is my second time staying at the hotel and stayed only one night. The room was a bit chilly and heater didn't work. Also there was a loud fan sound from outside the building that was going on and off all night so I didn't sleep. I told the clerk in the morning and he was very nice and said he would check into that. Also gave me a little discount on room rate. Overall I do like this place but would stay in different room next time due to sound.
