bet clean, great amenities and helpful staff it’s a great location if you are on your way to San Diego

The property has a fun older vibe. We enjoyed the pool and other outdoor amenities. We had some noise issues from a nearby room, which meant for a night of pretty poor sleep, but I did appreciate the staff attending to the matter. Only other downside was having the smoking area right below our balcony. The smell would often waft up to where we were at.

the service was excellent; the staff and management were great

the outside of the property looked super nice but the room was sub-par and seemed very old and outdated. not pleased with paying this price for this room.

It seems dated. This is a high priced hotel but the rooms aren’t lux. There was no toilet paper in my room. There is a loud plane noise until 11p

It was amazing. I was there for my anniversary with my husband. There were a lot of activities outdoors to do. golf, life-size chess, pool & hot tub and also another game that was pretty funny-not sure what it is called. I really enjoyed the hotel and everything it had to offer. we had a lot of privacy and everything was just AMAZING.

Nice hotel with good amenities and friendly front desk staff. We had a fantastic stay and will come back again next time.

Parking and resort fees can add up to $47.00 more to your experience per night. Just FYI. The room cleanliness wasn't the greatest and just little maintenance things (cracked grout, chipped paint, wear and tear on the furniture) were needing to be addressed. The pool area was fun but it was off season so you had to call to get someone down there to run the waterslide, etc. We took advantage of the room service and had no complaints and the bar service was nice. We also used the bikes the resort provides for a couple hours and that was fun, but since they were fixed gear, there wasn't a lot of places to go without a bunch of hills that are kind of torture to do on a fixed gear bike. Out side of the gripe about room cleanliness...no coffee in room and no coffee bar in lobby....you pay for every cup. That's a bit nickel and dime in my book. The location was beautiful and so close to everything. Balboa island was a short 15 minute walk or you could take the resort shuttle service. Only one of the buildings has an elevator, and they were kind enough to put us in that one when we arrived caring a sleeping 6 year old. That was nice.

We booked the suite and its only two rooms made it to one and was a little disappointing. Also the floor was very unlevel being a contractor there are some structural issues. But its and older hotel not sure if I would stay again.

The amenities were nice. I was very disappointed when I arrived on my wedding anniversary to find hair in the shower and on the toilet. The staff there would not give us another room, because they were all sold out. The only thing that they offered us was a free breakfast. Like seriously!!! They had the maids come in and clean but the hair was still there.

Overall it was a good hotel, just needs some renovations, rooms need to be updated.

The check in was great and loved the individual that helped us. We arrived already and was able to get into our room earlier than expected. Loved the shuttle service to balboa island, fashion island and the airport. The bikes was also a great service that we utilized. The restaurant was overpriced and not that good for breakfast, which was one downside.
