It was very different from big hotels. Was very accessible to subway and other points of interest. Staff was always very helpful and very friendly

It’s a serviceable hotel, but lacks amenities. Could use a facelift, heat was overbearing in our room so we had to run the AC when it was 40 degrees outside. Staff was very friendly. Easy access to Rockefeller, grand central, Broadway, amd Times Square. Positive is it’s just outside the main congestion so getting a Starbucks or Dunkin (both right there) super easy.

The staff was very accommodating, pleasant and personable

We had no hot water for two of the three days we were there.

Excellent stay. No complaints.

Amazingly unique property. Great location. Huge rooms with hardwood floors. Art on bath tiles. Kitchen. Comfortable linens and exceptionally clean.

I really liked this hotel. It was quiet and charming, very good deal

Close to Times Square and Grand Central Station! Great location at a good price for NYC.

It was nice

Felt like a B&B when in the room. Old school charm.

Great location (very close to Grand Central), great views of the Chrysler and Pan Am Buildings. Nice spacious (for Manhattan) rooms with refrigerators. Friendly staff. Good price, given location and quality.

I loved that they had a residence lounge where you could sit and relax and they had yummy granola and yogurt available all the time.

Loved the unique charm of this boutique hotel! Wonderful surprise to have the residents' reception, though was unfortunately surprised at receiving a $25 charge the next day, as I thought it was complementary. Great location to Subway and walking.

The staff was very welcoming and check-in was quick & efficient. Room was spacious & clean. One big disappointment was discovering in the morning that the shower diverter was broken and we were unable to take a shower. We made do. Hotel offered to send someone up but we were still dressing and rushing to get out and start our day. I asked for an adjustment on the rental fee due to the broken shower, but they said since I went through a booking agent they couldn’t do it - I would have to ask Orbitz. So Orbitz, is there something you can do?

1 br suite was by far the largest room we've had in nyc. The extra space was great now that our kids are ternagers. Great rooftop bar. A few blocks to subway, but not bad.

The property is a beautiful old building with wonderful art work.

This hotel is exactly what a three star hotel is. Old style rooms; out dated rooms; but location is good.
