Excited travel in NYC during 3N stayed at Seton..nearby cafe and resto ..included just 5minutes walk to grand central station

Nice hotel that is located at a convenient location, clean and tidy.

The hotel was located in a nice area of a walkable city, near Grand Central Station.

This hotel is very, very basic: scratchy towels, dirty carpet, cheap toiletries, paper thin walls, and no in-room safe box. I have stayed at much nicer places in the Grand Central area at this price range. There is one thing that might matter to you: this place is a Fox-free zone, meaning they don't have Fox News. This could be a plus or dealbreaker to you. Hotel management claims they don't control what the TV package comes with, I don't buy it since they have CNN just fine. If this matters to you, you might want to reconsider supporting a business that has so much contempt for the likes of us. I am not coming back.

Nice little room at a good price. Surprisingly peaceful even though room faced 40th.

What a crappy hotel. Never been to a hotel in which the rooms did not come with bathrooms. This is more of a HOSTEL than a hotel. I had to pay $55 after the Orbitz cost to be upgraded to a normal room. I should have just gone to a legitimate hotel in the first place! Orbitz and Seton hotel. What a garbage experience.

I was prepared to have the bathroom down the hall -- and delighted to find a wash facility with hot and cold running water in the room. The room and all facilities were exceptionally clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. The oddities were no reading light near the bed and the axis of the bed was along a wall (rather than headed into a wall)

The hotel was just okay and does the job. It is nicely renovated (especially the bathroom) and has good location. But the room smelled musty upon arrival (need to be aired out). The TV channels were limited. Only 1 elevator.

Charming little hotel with pretty, modern decor in the heart of Manhattan. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect - short walking distance to Times Square, Grand Central, Bryant Park, etc. Coffee served in the morning downstairs. There was no mini fridge or coffee maker in rooms, but might could request them, we did not. We would stay there again.

This is a hotel not a hostel who checks the details to see if thete is a bathroom in your room? I will from now on

Very accommodating and professional front desk. No frills all I needed,

This hotel is small, intimate with solicitous staff. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but has all the essentials in a central location. Walking distance from Grand Central, Times Square, Medical Centers, Subway. Good restaurants of many varieties and price points nearby.

Great place to stay for a short weekend getaway. Very convenient location. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Would stat again for another short trip.

was ok, maid service did not clean room, old fashion key was quaint

I go to New York at least 4 times a year and am fairly used to small rooms. The Seton gave me what was probably the smallest room I've stayed in, with the least storage space. It was bare bones, but bearable for a weekend. There are many better options out there though, and I probably wouldn't come back. They were especially bullish on their cancelation policy when my girlfriend tried to change our reservations, which added to our displeasure. She ended up having to leave New York a day early to start her new job, instead of us getting to change our stay.

Good place to stay if you're looking to save on your trip to NYC. Don't expect anything fancy, but they do what they have very nice.

My two day stay at the Seton was very nice. The rooms were clean and staff was very helpful.

Seton hotel was a wonderful surprise. The room i had was inexpensive (for nyc) and nicely designed. I liked the fact that they gave slippers and a robe. I thought the interior design of my room was really well done with interesting artwork (large Catcher in the Rye poster) also lots of very interesting artwork in the community room (large colored prints or drawings of exotic birds) they were excellently rendered and unique high quality drawings. I always prefer hotels that use natural materials in their interiors and Seton hotel uses wood and some stone. Location was perfect right next to Grand Central. Also the have a nice mirror and sink in the room.

I was pleasantly surprised by Seton Hotel. Tucked away on the east side of Manhattan, the hotel is situated in a quieter area (the closest subway station is the Grand Central station). The room was very neat and tidy, the staff was exceptional, and overall I would definitely come back to this place. One suggestion, I wish there was a continental breakfast.

The newly renovated rooms were spacious for New York City with modern amenities and free wi-fi.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have 15 economy level rooms which are clearly advertised as "shared bathroom room, bathroom is located in hallway." If you chose one of these rooms, there is of course an upgrade fee to our standard hotel rooms.
