Be warned!!! The hotel is veryclose to a club (on 28th?) which plays loud vibrating EDM all through the night Kept us up until 4am on a Saturday. Ugh! If you are a light sleeper request a room as far away from that as possible.

We booked this hotel because it was close to an event we came into the area for. Pictures online are incredibly deceiving. The double rooms barely have enough room for a walk way around the beds, and no room to put a suitcase if you have more than one. There is no closet and the armoire was enough space for maybe 3 outfits. The drawers on the dresser didn’t stay closed. The bathroom was the size of a camper bathroom. And worst of all, I found BLACK MOLD in the shower. The elevators sounded like they were about to break down. Staff seemed confused and annoyed with guests, and the parking service was expensive and had additional fees we were not informed of in advance. I’m glad we intended on spending very little time in the hotel because this was by far my worst vacation experience. Definitely not worth the cost.

Excellent price for a hotel in downtown New York. The space is small but for downtown nyc I’d still give it 4 stars

The Holiday Inn Chelsea is a typical NYC hotel. Nothing special. A big plus: room size! I've stayed in several NYC hotels, but not one was as roomy as the Holiday Inn Chelsea. The escalators are very, very slow. The location is very convenient (5' by foot from Penn Station).

Price good for Manhattan. Walking distance from many sights. Very clean! Great breakfast. Rooms very small, but hey, it's NYC. Not in the room much. Ice machine on first floor only. Off site parking separate charge.

I loved the location of this hotel. It was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. The staff was amazing! Everyone was friendly and helpful. I was celebrating my Birthday and the desk clerk gave me gifts of sweets. Chocolate's my favorite! I felt safe. I had no problem checking in. No hidden fees. The breakfast was standard. Nice patio seating outside in front of hotel. My room was spacious. The ac in my room worked perfect. I was satisfied with my room . Sleep was peaceful. The only challenging part was one of the elevators didn't work. But I used it as an opportunity to get some exercise and use the stairs once lol. Waiting for an elevator wasn't a deal breaker. At least it had one. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, right near MSG, Penn St. and other subway stations. Room was smaller, but clean. There was one issue with the elevator one night when we were returning to our room, so we had to take the stairs. It was back up and running the next morning. The complimentary breakfast is quite good with tons of options. The staff was grade A. Great location, great price point and great staff. Would definitely stay again!

Love the location .. breakfast was great every morning .. staff was nice ... will stay there again

Great location, safe neighborhood, friendly staff, GREAT breakfast! Dogs are allowed here, wish there was a rule to not leave dogs unattended. The dog in the room next to ours was left unattended quite a bit and barked A LOT!! Not much the hotel (or dog!) can do about terrible dog owners.

We couldn’t wait to check out of this hotel. Our problems kept escalating starting from cigarette smoke to marijuana to loud parties. Definitely not ideal place for kids. We received less than enthusiastic help from the staff. We were told there is no manager on site and there was little they could do. By the time a manager was on duty three days later, all we wanted was to leave. Travelers beware.

Very nice location. Good price during holiday season. Would be nice if it had a restaurant, but there are no shortage of options nearby

Nice people here and very convenient to get to time square.
