Hotel is very conveniently located. Room very clean.
The hotel was great, although my room had a weird smell. The staff was nice and helpful. I had a conference at Javits center and I didn't think this hotel was very convenient to the center. It was about a 15-20 minute walk. There is a lot of construction nearby and some sidewalks were detoured. Despite that, the hotel was quiet. Hotel is super close to a subway and Penn Station.
The hotel is excellent for a business stay and it is at great value. The staff tries to give warm service and they are not charging for anything picky.
As close to Penn Station as you could ever imagine. PERFECT for those that need a hotel near that station,
Clean friendly. Very nice hotel. Good breakfast, the bar has a great view
Room was mot ready at check in but once we checked in we loved it! Skytop lounge was beautiful. Location was perfect
The stay was short but we were very happy with the hotel.
Staff were amazing. Took care of our every request with a smile in their Faces
Close to a 5 star hotel. City view rooms just a tad small but cleaniless makes up for it.
One of hotel staff, he (I thinks bellboy)doing wonderful service. Really so nice guy.
The location in relation to Penn Station is ideal. Literally can throw a rock from hotel to Penn, so taking train into city was convenient.
I arrived by train at Penn Station and picked the hotel because it is very close to the Station from which I can walk with luggage with no difficulty: it is half a block away from the Station at the corner of 33rd Street and 8th Avenue. The subway access is also at this intersection and in Penn Station. The hotel itself is new, clean, and well-maintained. The check-in was quick, easy, and friendly. The room was small but perfectly fine. The bathroom was beautiful and had a huge shower with a mirror over the sink that had a light band completely around its circumference, including the bottom, making shaving very easy, a great design idea. It is unusual for hotels nowadays, but my room had an openable window which I was happy to see. The bed and pillows were comfortable with a nice arrangement of sheets and blanket. The thermostat controlled the room temperature very well and had the option of turning on the fan continuously at either high or low speed which I use to drown out the street noise. The free breakfast had many items including oatmeal and fruit for those who want healthy food. There was even agave syrup or honey for the oatmeal which I was happy to see. I had apple juice which I was happy to note was not watered down. Check-out was also quick and easy. Overall a great experience, and at $116/night, a cheap one by NYC standards.
Everything very good except... - I was appalled there was no option to eat breakfast on real plates instead of disposable plastic ones. Not only do I not enjoy eating from those plates or drinking from paper cups at breakfast, I have a hard time dealing with the lack of environmental considerations in this case, especially because everyone ate in. - we were unable to sleep most of Saturday night because there was a party going on in one of the rooms until almost 5 am.
We travel to Disney World via Amtrak and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We stayed here the night before our trip to Florida and all we had to do was walk probably a block to Penn Station. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was friendly. And it didn't put a huge dent in our finances.
No room service. 2 blocks from venue. Construction everywhere.
This hotel meet all of our needs. Great location, Clean Rooms, Normal Sized Rooms, Great Price. Etc... We look to stay here every time we're in NYC.
good breakfast. Good location. Good price. Great roof top bar
The Fairfield Inn MidTown was quite a surprise. I was very impressed with the location, the staff and the amenities. While I was expecting a modest experience, this hotel over-delivered. The room was very comfortable. The rooftop bar is intimate and ideal. The breakfast set up was more like a rugby scrum, but it can be negotiated. Value for money, The Fairfield MidTown is a great combination.
When we arrived, the concierge and person at the desk both greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. It was a very warm and cozy family hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean and all of the staff was warm, friendly and helpful! The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food, drinks and snacks for everyones palate. There was even a fresh fruit cart outside the front of hotel for your convienence and a beautiful view, especially at night on the outside rooftop lounge. The hotel was within a few steps to a great Deli and restaurant that had very good food. Within a couple of blocks in either direction of hotel you could find shopping, other places to eat, beautiful views, transportation and very close to many of main sight seeing spots to visit all within walking distance.
This hotel is only 1/2 block from Penn Station and a subway entrance. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - probably more than any other staff at a hotel in NYC. The continental breakfast was better than expected.
