DoubleTree Suites by Hilton New York City - Times Square

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

In the heart of times square, near several stations, stores. If you are looking for safety, value and security, there is no better place. They were kind enough o take my bags before the check in, so that I can go to the city, and retain them after checkout so that i can fetch the car.

Great location, however needs to update the paint and the wall paper in the hallways. Love the cookies they gave upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was great and friendly. Families should have the ability to have a view of time square.

Had a good time while staying in hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

LOVED THE VIEW FROM THE WINDOW DOWN ON TIMES SQUARE

Lovely large room, excellent location, excellent price, nice amenities. Roll out couch was incomfortable, but i guess that's typical. Otherwise fantastic stay!

So disappointed! We appreciate room service at hotels, because sometimes you just need it. Like after an full day in the city and you come back for a break at the hotel, your kid falls asleep and you need food before heading back out to a show. This hotel does NOT have room service - but website says it does. This was an inconvenience, but I headed down to the lounge (since it is the only dining past 2 p.m.). To expedite my food order, I went to the bar. Bartender said that per the "union" he could not let me order food "to go" at the bar. I saw (5 p.m. - busy time) only ONE waiter in the lounge and he was not accessible. I went to front desk and explained that I needed food for my family - she stared blankly at me and led me to the bartender who sternly repeated that he could not give me any food "to go". The waiter also chimed in and said he couldn't give me food either. Strange. Because what do people do if they eat in the lounge and don't finish their food? Forced to throw it away? Plus this bar sells fruit, bagels, etc. in the mornings "to go." Truly PATHETIC. Not one of the three staff wanted to help me, a hotel guest. I felt like I was in a third world country. After 20 minutes I talked to the manager on duty who said she would see what she could do with the bartender and waiter. I said please if it takes four people to decide if they can sell food to their own hotel guest - forget it! We would NEVER stay here again - there are too many other options!

We had excellent room service, best we ever had. Didn't have to wait. Very friendly and always had a smile!

Great experince Fist time we my Family of 5 which never beeen in New York

Wonderful position for city trip on time square. Great staff and super breakfast

Perfect location at Times Square. Front desk staff welcoming and helpful. Could make better use of the suite by placing another bed in the second room instead of a sleeper sofa. Have never slept on a sleeper sofa that was comfortable. Warm cookies at check-in a welcome treat!

Couldn't ask for a better location. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. We got there late because of delayed flights and they had overbooked king rooms. So we got bumped to a queen, but the room had a great view and they gave us breakfast vouchers. Room was very comfortable. There were some cosmetic issues and the first 2 days we were there the water out of the faucet was very cloudy. Overall a good hotel and would definitely stay there again

Great location! Clean and helpful staff! The rooms are great!

Location cannot be meet, hotel showing its age, but great value for suites in great location

Rhonda made the trip memorable, welcoming and accomodating staff made this trip and this our new go to hotel when staying in New York

Great central location, room was good but windows showed a brick wall and office windows. You have to pay extra for any kind of view. Room was comfortable, needed some repairs (mainly cosmetic) but good value overall if you are looking for a place to crash after spending the day on the town. Avoid paying for NYC sightseers package, we didn't use any of it as it's only discounts to random places. Spend your money on a better view or something else.

Perfect location This hotel had the friendliest staff Very helpful with directions, recommendations for dinner and reservations. Rooms were clean and spacious

Dated rooms - badly needs renovation. Priced way too high for the amenities. Bathrooms look cheap - worse than the highway motels. Towels smell horrible.

Great service from staff. Hotel itself is good, little dated in some areas. Suites are large, good for families.

Excellent location, good sized room, small fridge, two televisions, all looked great. Until my last night, kids noticed small black bugs in the bathroom. Wife and kids did not used bathroom after that. Didn't bother complaining since the customer service reps were borderline rude. Maybe it's not their fault, since most people complain too much.
