The king-sized mattress may have not been changed in years or longer. It was SOFT and lumpy like the pillows. My back ached throughout our stay. We have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times without complaint. The clerk did not ask us about our stay. Just as well.

8-1-2025 we were sent to Empire Hotel. It is a good location. Except night time construction pretty noisy. Since we were on a lower level.

It is next to Lincoln Center, room clean, but few little details in the room, especially the bathroom need improvement. There was construction work went on at night time. So not as quiet as we would like it to be.

The hotel is good overall. It is extremely well located. The staff is always very friendly and helpful in assisting us. However, the air conditioning in the room is horrible. It keeps turning off in the middle of the night and only turns back on when the room gets too hot. It makes a lot of noise when it turns back on, scaring us and waking us up several times. And the elevator's key card reader takes a long time to work. You have to try about 10 times. I think this can be easily fixed.

Very well-kept hotel in a convenient part of Manhattan--the theater district is within easy walking distance. The staff was always helpful, and doormen assured that no one entered who did not belong there. The week I was there, one of the three elevators was out of order, so sometimes getting to your room was not as quick as it might have been.

Excellent location! Recommend!

Excellent location. I walked everywhere but it was also super close to several Subway stations. The bed was very comfy. It looks like it’s been a while since it was remodeled but I thought it was a good value for NYC standards.

The rooftop bar next door was beautiful and delicious.

We stayed for 6 nights and whilst the location was amazing, the hotel itself needs some work. The toilet ran, doors didn’t close properly, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work, the beds are old, the cards rarely worked in the lifts and room door and constantly needed replacing. Then there was the construction across the road. While this wasn’t their fault, they failed to notify us prior to our stay and when I say it was loud… it was loud from 6am to 5pm every day. When we requested a room change they said, we can move you to a smaller room, with no compensation or care. By the end of our stay we were exhausted and won’t be staying at this hotel again.
