After reading reviews, I guess I expected a warm welcome and service within the staff. We checked in after 8 and were escorted to our room . Other than that, no information about the place was given . For example, put the green light on if you want service. Instead we came home after a long day of winery visits to a dirty room. Also quite lacking is the Concierge’s attitude. She was arrogant and short in assisting us with a cancellation for a restaurant. All in all, I think a small boutique hotel ( Hotel Yountville) would better suit our needs for higher class service. Nothing is done extraordinary here that warrants a five star.
We are staying at Carneros to experience Napa and Sonoma regions. Our room is a lovely cottage with an outside deck with a fire pit. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are incredibly helpful. Lovely.
The Carneros Resort is in a great location in Los Carneros. It has individual high end modular homes with a private courtyard and indoor/out door showers located on a spread out property with fruit trees and fountains. The resort is peaceful and relaxing. Agree with some other reviews that some of the staff in the two restaurants on the property should be better trained. Really like the free bikes available to visit wineries that are nearby. Would recommend Artesa which is about 1.25 miles away.
At the southern edge of the valley is Los Carneros, a unique viticulture area in that it straddles Napa and Sonoma counties. Carneros Resort and Spa and its fine dining restaurant FARM are fantastically located if visiting both wine regions. Gated lodging is laid out like a mobile home park, but don’t expect to see any trailer trash with rates starting at a grand a night. Charming cottages dot the resort, each with a rustic front porch adorned with weathered rocking chairs and a mailbox, and interiors of shabby chic décor and such luxuries as a heated bathroom floor and espresso machine. French doors open to a private outdoor patio with a gas fire pit and twin chaise lounges with an overhead electric heater. If showering or bathing inside is too ordinary, go al fresco and trust that the ranch-style sheet metal walls are high enough to prevent any peeping Tom neighbors.
This is a very nice property, and the two bedroom/two bath villas are perfect for a family traveling together as you also get a really spacious outdoor living space as well. Overall service was solid, although it could be a bit better at this price point.
We rented a 2 bedroom house over labor day weekend. While the property is absolutely beautiful, our house itself felt a little tired and was in need of some refresh. A larger issue was very poor service throughout the resort. Our room was not ready at check-in time; bathroom floor covered in hair when we finally got in (not clean); room service took an hour and 45 minutes to arrive and when it did (after calling 2x) half the items we had ordered were missing, the rest were cold; coffee at the hilltop breakfast took over 30 minutes to arrive at our table, we had to ask after it several times; bikes in children's sizes were not available when we tried to rent them, we were told we'd receive a call when they were returned, we never did get a call or have a bike for the duration of our stay. Unacceptable for the price of the stay.
This hotel has everything one could want. Beautiful rooms, lovely outdoor patios and backyards. Fabulous pools and a lovely gym. Great market, restaurants, outdoor spaces. I love everything about this place.
Carneros was the absolute perfect choice for our honeymoon in Napa. Everything from the location, the service, and the luxurious inclusivity of the property made us feel pampered and relaxed. The pool, the food, the wine- this place is a hidden gem amongst so many resorts and hotels. Shout out to the Hilltop dining/pool staff for going above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. Specifically- Danny A. Thank you for your hospitality, and local recommendations for us during our time at Carneros, you treated us like family! :) I can not recommend Carneros enough, and will be raving about our stay for years to come!
A really nice property, meticulously well maintained. The staff are all very professional and proud of their work. Each 'room' is a stand alone cottage complete with a backyard, fireplace and gas firepit. A highly rated restaurant is on premise. If your looking for a quiet getaway, this is your place!
Terrific location, terrific staff, terrific room. Spent two days here in August and and enjoyed the entire experience. The Hilltop area had beautiful views, particularly with a million stars at night!
