I brought a softball team here for championship. We stayed in this awesome hotel. When you walked in it smelled fresh and clean. The lobby was amazing. The room. O my goodness top notch. The room was immaculate. The bed was like heaven! The breakfast was fresh and clean and delicious. The staff was friendly! I love it here! Don’t want to leave

I have tried unsuccessfully to get a response from the hotel general manager, so I am now posting this review, unfortunately. I feel like giving a hotel almost a month to reply back to emails is plenty of time. So here is what I sent to the manager. Still waiting for a reply. Hello, I wanted to let you know about our recent stay at the Springhill Suites in Prattville.  We are lifetime Platinum Marriott rewards members, and we were excited to see that a brand new Springhill had opened in Prattville.  We travel from southern Indiana to the gulf coast at least 3 times a year, and Prattville is our normal stop for the night on our way. We reserved the room on our way down, and it was showing all that was left was a king with the trundle and couch, so we booked that.  I checked again a little bit later, and it was showing a 2 queen room, which was what we wanted, so I called the hotel directly and asked if we could switch our reservation to the two queen.  I was told no, they were booked, which I understood and said was ok, the king was fine since we had the couch part and the trundle.  We got to the hotel late, between 8:00-9:00 PM.  For our platinum arrival gift, our kids wanted to pick a food item from the pantry, and we asked the lady working the front desk if it was ok if they picked after we got all our stuff in the room and situated for bed. She told us whenever was fine. When we got to our room, everything smelled and looked clean, and we were exhausted from a long afternoon/evening of driving, and were planning to go straight to bed.  Upon looking at our bed, we noticed several dead ants on the wood headboard.  Since we were told they were sold out, we knew we wouldn't be able to change rooms, and we really were just tired and wanted to go to sleep, so we stayed.  Our two daughters were sleeping on the couch bed and the trundle.  We went to get the couch bed supplies out, and there was only a blanket in there.  It was kind of rolled up in a ball in the plastic bag, and I couldn't tell if it was clean or if a guest had put it back like that, because usually they are folded nicely and the sheets and everything are in there too.  So I didn't want my daughter to use it, in case it had been previously used and not washed in between.  I called down to inquire about getting two sheets (one to cover the trundle and one to cover the couch), 2 blankets, and 2 pillows.  I didn't get an answer, so I went down to the front desk.  There was a huge line of people checking in.  When I finally got to ask for the items, the girl at the front desk told me they were out of pillows and out of blankets.  I told her we had no couch bed supplies for our kids.  She gave me sheets and grabbed two very small pillows (I believe they were the throw pillows that are on the beds).  However, they did not have any pillow cases for them.  So we had no pillows or blankets for our kids.  By this time, it was after 11 PM.  There were 3 pillows on our king bed, so we gave one of our daughters the extra, and the other daughter one, and I slept without a pillow at all.  And the girls both had only a sheet to cover up with. We had made it a point to ask at check in what time breakfast was, because our girls love Springhill waffles, and they wanted to be sure to get one.  The lady at the front desk said 9:30 am is when it ended.  We went down the next morning a few minutes before 9 am.  There were no clean tables, trash was everywhere.  We had to get napkins and clean off a table and throw away other people's dirty plates and cups to have a place to sit down.  At this point, a woman working the breakfast approached us and told us breakfast was closed.  We questioned her, because we were told 9:30 the night before.  She said "well, the breakfast girl quit, this is not my job, so it is is 9:00".  My daughters both really wanted a waffle and we politely asked if there was anyway they could still make a waffle, as that was the big reason they had wanted to stay there, and after our night without proper bedding and pillows, we were at least hoping they could get a waffle.  She said ok, and gave them each a cup of batter.  The batter was so thick, it would not pour out onto the waffle iron.  We had to scoop it with a spoon.  When the waffle was done, we went to get it out, and it just crumbled to pieces  and was too hard to even try to eat.  We gave up and went back to our room to pack up to leave.  At this point, our girls were starving.  We remembered the food item we had not gotten the night before because we didn't want to wait in the long line again.  They went down to ask about getting it. Whoever was working the front desk that morning was rude, and told them no, they should have gotten it last night.  My husband went to explain the whole breakfast ordeal to the front desk and the bedding problems from the night before.   He said can they please just grab the food item we weren't able to get last night.  She told him no, but then finally agreed they could get one item to share.  We never received an apology for the breakfast or bedding situation.  We were never asked how our stay was, so I never even got a chance to tell anyone about the ants.  When I went to turn in the keys to check out, she was sitting in the lobby area and told me just lay the keys on the desk and our receipt would be emailed.   I realize the hotel is pretty new, but I was really disappointed in the lack of friendliness by employees, the ants, the breakfast situation (I still don't know what the correct time was supposed to be-if the night before we were told wrong or the lady in the morning closed it down too early), and the not having pillows and blankets. When the room is advertised as having a couch and trundle bed, I expected the sheets/blanket/pillows to be in the room and ready for it.  And all of this with no apologies, no asking how our stay was or anything.   We were hoping to make the Springhill our new stopping point on future trips, so I wanted to reach out to you to bring these things to your attention and let you know we were not satisfied at all with our recent overnight stay.  

This hotel is new and impeccably clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and I might have to find a reason to return so I can stay here again! Thanks to Fred and George for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

This hotel is literally brand new and it smells new too! It is all modern and the decorating is great. All the things you wish you had in a room has been thought of and has. The staff was very accomodating

The room is great! AC/Heat works great! Spacious! The only problem is the start of the day. When you have a sold out hotel, you should be on your game and expect busy crowds in the morning for breakfast when you promote a hot breakfast. There are two waffle makers (weekends only) and they put out 4 small bottles of waffle batter, one bottler per waffle and don't refill them until someone (a hotel guest) brings back all 4 bottles to the kitchen. Runs out of eggs and Sausage (which are kept in a puddle of water). Guests have to search the cabinets of stock themselves for supplies. (THIS IS SUNDAY MORNING ONLY) On Tuesday Morning when we went to breakfast at 0655, my husband got the last of the scrambled eggs. Breakfast ends at 9, eggs were finally out at 0849. Staff at front desk said they ran out and don't have anymore; kitchen staff says manager is bringing eggs (This is at 0657 and again at 0735) I sat there watching for eggs to come out, which wasn't until it was almost time to close the kitchen (0900). I have sent two emails to Marriott and received two case numbers. I haven't heard back on either one of them except for the typical automatic reply that generated the case number. We are booked into this hotel for 2 weeks and just checked in 3 days ago......

We was well please with our stay on February 22. The young lady that check us in was wonderful. It was amazing how she multi task to get us check in. Also the kitchen attendant that work that Saturday, did a good job to be the only one on duty. Would recommend more than one person work on Saturday. My entire experience from talking with the Sale Manger to our stay was very professional. Enjoyed my recent stay at the SpringHill. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a great fire pit to sit outside at night and enjoy the company of your friends and family. Rooms are nicely decorated and the hotel is close to nearby attractions.

The hotel is very spacious, clean, and quiet. The staff was extremely helpful. Charlotte and here staff were accommodating when my daughter got sick ( thank you). The location is perfect for military members like myself that are not on official orders and looking for a place to stay.

Beautiful new SpringHill Suites, very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was mowing service cutting grass at 6:30 this morning! Manager apologized and stated it was the first time mowing. Planned on sleeping in a little but made the decision to get up and hit the road after breakfast. We look forward to staying at this location next trip thru Alabama.

This was my 1st stay at this hotel which opened in December, 2018. The mid morning front desk clerk was very friendly and professional, and she went out of her way to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. The hotel beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms and bathroom are spacious. I was even greeted and thanked for my business by the manager on several occasions during my stay. I definitely recommend this hotel, and they have gained my patronage.
