Got a handicapped access room when one was not requested. Room smelled weird when we entered. Not sure what it was but we sprayed some air freshener in room, but that made it uncomfortable. Liked layout of room other than it being handicapped access. Great view from 7 th floor!
The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the pool was clean and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.
A little notice in the door said the room had been sanitized but I had to call housekeeping to come and vacuum. There were crumbs on the floor. Staff was very nice. I do appreciate it when hotels provide both soft and firm pillows. These were all soft.
Looked like new and the staff was first rate. Just a great experience for me.
I think a place that says it is pet friendly shouldn’t charge $100 for a pet to stay. I would call that pet tolerant.
Room smelled horrible. Apparently it was a “former” smoking room that is no longer but still reeks of smoke. They were full so we couldn’t move rooms when we arrived after 11pm. My son with allergies and my infant shouldn’t have had to sleep with that smell and obvious remaining smoke particles.
Wonderful hotel. Large rooms. Breakfast buffet was excellent and food stations were constantly replenished.
Have been staying at this hotel for many years. The past few trips, I have not been able to talk directly with the hotel staff when booking reservation, but get bounced over to 3rd party booking agencies who do not honor Hilton Honor members. This latest stay was booked through Orbitz which was difficult to work with and required any changes or cancellations to be made by noon of Saturday before a Monday afternoon check in. My work was completed early, so i checked out a day early, but was not credited the last night. Feels like this hotel is following the corporate model of take a great/product service and then strip it down little by little to generate margin while living on the reputation of product brand.
Beautiful, clean and roomy suite. Looking forward to staying here again soon.
mistake number one was reserving a "studio suite" when we were expecting a "one bedroom suite" our mistake I guess but for $190/nt we expected a proper suite. outdoor hotel pool is not heated so that was another blow, they allowed us to use the indoor pool at the hotel next door, we did and it helped the kids unwind after 8 hours in the car. just a hassle. next time I think we will use one of the cheaper options close by and call first to make sure our definition of a suite matches theirs
We stayed in Daphne to attend the Arts Festival in Fairhope and to re-live a vacation we took in 1968--to Bellengrath Gardens in Mobile and to Dauphin Island. The hotel was very pleasant--tastefully designed and appointed; pleasant staff; good breakfasts (and suppers as well -- Monday-Friday only). The only negative (and we consider it minor)--it seems that the housekeeping detail is understaffed--the room had not been cleaned one day even at 7 PM. Another day also--it was late in the afternoon before anyone came around. We ended up extending our stay--5 days instead of the originally booked 3 because we found it relaxing
