Stayed at this Residence Inn on 8th St right off Nicolette Mall for 4 nights. The property is conveniently located on the skyway circuit. They use a secure entry system 24/7 where you must be buzzed through the doors if you don't have a room key. The rooms are large & well equipped with a full kitchen. The living area is separated from the sleeping area by a large TV on a long stand. Employees at this property are helpful, informative & pleasant. There are many theaters & restaurants within easy walking distance. Room service is provided by Rock Bottom. There is a sel-serve market which supplies food & drink essentials adjacent to the check-in desk. Full breakfast is available for 3 hours every morning. Coffee & tea is free 24 hours a day in the lobby area.

Checked in with seven other people, of which six were teenage Boy Scouts on the way to the Northern Tier High Adventure base in Ely, MN. We had flown in from Louisiana that morning and were happy that the check-in was easy and the rooms were well-equipped for this crew. They had a manager's reception that evening of hamburgers and snacks that the boys totally enjoyed. We walked the few blocks over to Target field for a Twins game. The breakfast and checkout the next morning was also a pleasant experience. Totally satisfied with this property

My family and I (five of us) stayed at this property for five nights. One thing to note: it appears as if the entire city of Minneapolis is under construction. That includes highways, streets, alleys, buildings, parks, etc. I assume it's because of the short(er) warm weather construction season. But, I've never seen anything like it, so be prepared if you're from out of town for many road closures and detours. Your GPS will work overtime navigating in and around the city. Trust me. We arrived early on June 30 and our room wasn't available for early check in. We checked our bags and headed for The Mall of America (20- to 25-minute drive from hotel). When we returned, our room was ready. It was clean and spacious, as is typical for Residence Inn properties. We stayed in the two bedroom suite (king bed in each). When we travel together as a full family, a Residence Inn - with the additional space and full kitchen - is a must. I was pleasantly surprised at the low level of noise we experienced outside/above our room and our floor. The hotel didn't seem extremely busy, even during the free breakfast rush. The hotel is connected to a self-parking garage that is $23/day (in and out) with a stamped validation at the front desk. Breakfast was about what you'd expect - not bad, but not great, either. You'll find enough variety to save you money from having to get breakfast elsewhere. The dining area was clean and staff friendly/attentive. The property is conveniently located close to a variety of restaurants, shopping, etc., and in a building with skywalks that connect to other buildings - a signature of Minneapolis to protect people from the bitterly cold winter conditions. It's not bad during hot and humid summer days, either, which we experienced during our visit. The "fitness center" leaves much to be desired. Overall, we were pleased with the property and would stay here again. I'll end with singing the praises of Alexis, one of the front desk attendants. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, showed outstanding customer service throughout our stay, and simply a pleasant person with whom to interact. Management should give her a raise.

We took our family to the Residence Inn for a night away. We had stayed here before and were excited to have our family get a chance to stay also. Front desk was amazing at check in June 1st as well as check out June 2nd. Love the noon check out! Also, breakfast was great with lots of choices, as we had gluten free and vegetarian members in our party. I also enjoyed the fitness center, very clean facility! Great price! thanks for the fun memories!

I had my check out on 11th May. It was noon was all most close to check out. I was having my lunch & they literally did not consider my request for a 15 min late check out. I was like can I pls get 15 mins as I need complete my lunch but lady was like...check out is at 12. I requested multiple times but the response was same. There was literally no respect that the person showed. My worst experience in any hotel in 30 yrs.

Arrived at the hotel at 12:30 am after a late flight. Construction outside the building starting at 5:30 am. I called the front desk, who said they had received other complaints and would try to stop it. Fast forward an hour of me laying in bed listening to banging and sawing, and i call the front desk again. Fast forward another hour and it’s still going. I called yet again and asked why they hadn’t called the police, like any person with common sense would do, for violating Minneapolis law. I asked for a different room and a late check out so that i could come back to my room and take a nap after my 9 am meeting. The front desk person was very rude and told me there was nothing they could have done about the noise and that they don’t call the police unless it’s an emergency, and that they couldn’t do late check outs for a “person in my status.” What is my status, exactly? Someone who is paying $200/night for a hotel that apparently doesn’t care about its guests, I guess. Really, you can’t even try to make up for this by letting me take a nap?? Got 4.5 hours of sleep and won’t ever be staying here again. I’ve never posted an angry review in my life.

We stayed here on a Saturday night and there were many positives- the locations is close to the action, although it's on a "side street" and it seemed a bit sketchy. But we had no problems so overall I was OK with it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking was a breeze and affordable for what is charged in the area. I think the staff friendliness was the biggest plus. The room was spacious, a bit dated in the bathroom, but the price was reasonable and I think that we would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I were planning to go out to eat downtown which turned into a date night complete with hotel stay. The hotel was very clean and there was a lot of space in the room. The breakfast the next morning was what had me hooked. Great choice of foods, fresh fruit and cute setting, plenty of space and a cute fireplace in the corner. Staff was great also with early check in. Another bonus, check out is at 12.

Have stayed in better places, but one thing that I have to say is that the location was nice. The place is so close to Nicollet mall and also the convince there is just too good. Also keeping in mind that the staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I really loved my stay there!
