Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Downtown

It was a last minute trip. I have an ongoing relationship with the Hilton brand so this hotel made some sense. The staff was pretty cool and helpful. The facility was in really well maintained condition. The only concern that I have is the isolation of the hotel. I appreciate that their typical client is probably there for business or a convention at the nearby convention center, but it would have been more helpful to (1) longer hotel restaurant hours for breakfast, (2) lunch, and (3) encourage nearby development of dining opportunities. The Whole Foods was an Uber ride away more into downtown. The nearest real restaurant was Monello, Italian in a competitive hotel.

Ould stay again, little stress with check in but they figger it out and gave me free parking,,

Impressed by our hotel room. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view of downtown Minneapolis. The staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast and dinner at the cafe was a pleasant surprise with the burger being extremely juicy. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Stayed for one night. Staff was friendly but not professional. Side conversations kept going on when I checked in. The room was nice but it had a weird smell. The parking was far and valet was expensive. I've stayed in much nicer hotels for less money. Overall not impressed. Will stay somewhere else next time.

So first thing is I had to pay additional for parking. Than there was only one person working the front desk and was rude. Than when I ask where to get ice the woman at the front desk said she didn't know. On top of that the room smelt like bad feet. Than I found out they served breakfast but you had to pay for it. I've never had to pay for parking or breakfast in a hotel I stayed in.

I checked in after a long day of travel and arrived around midnight. Check in was fast, service was great. I arrived on the third floor and heard the roar of over 20 fans in the hallway as one half of the hallway must have had a flood that soaked all the rooms on one side. The wall paper was peeled up and taped to the walls. My room was at the end of the hall by the staircase where the biggest fan of all was pushing air out the open fire exit door. The noise was constant and kept me awake until 4 am. It would have been nice to know I was sleeping in a windmill of air pressure changes and the hum and echo of fans amplified by the hall way. There is another Hilton less than a mile away, if I was managing the hotel, I'd have closed the floor and re-booked people at the other Hilton. Bare minimum, tell your guest you had a flood. I have worked in hotels, and understand broken pipes and problems arise, but hospitality is about putting the guest first. Its been over two weeks and I still have a $270.00 hold on my credit card for incidentals even though I paid for the room ahead of time. Next time I will stay at the Millennium Hotel. Again the staff was fantastic, the manager is questionable.

Great, modern hotel! Very friendly staff, cool lounge and bar area in lobby. Very comfortable beds, beautiful views of downtown Minneapolis and very easy to get to right off the interstate

Had some issues when we checked out with the valet parking (as you can not park your own car). Even though we were told we had in/out whenever we wanted, we were double charged 2 days. It was caught the first time by hotel staff, but the second day of double charging was caught as I reviewed my bill at home. Called upon returning home, still waiting to see if I really have a credit on my card.

I stayed there for a weekend with a group of people. It was a decently short walk to the downtown area, and for the price it was reasonable. Next time I would try somewhere else though.

We have stayed here 2 times for concerts & have had a great experience both time. Even ate at the restaurant & it was great food as well!!

Clean, comfortable, even cozy. Just right for a 1 day trip and great location for dwntn Mpls & St. Paul. Staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. Loved fireplace as you enter the lobby. Also appreciated limo on call next morning when my taxi failed to show up. Excellent service, good value. I'll be back!

Great place to stay for a night in the city. Convenient location to everything, clean, and upscale. What you expect from Hilton.

I have stayed at the Hilton Garden a number of times. Each time it was a great experience. Cleanliness and comfort are always top notch. The valet parking is efficient. Wish it were a little closer (especially in the winter) to Nicollet Ave., then it would be 5 star for me.

Clean rooms, pleasant staff, amazing breakfast!!!!

Stayed at a horrible co-op and looked for a Downtown hotel for a conference. I regret not stopping here first! Pleasant night for the price with the basics!

Nice place great location if you're visit is city oriented. This is my 5th or 6th stay at this location and its showing some age. We had 3 rooms and for 2 of us the air conditioning fan was unbearable. Also the housekeeping staff were mopping the lobby and breakfast area floor during the busiest part of the morning 7-8am. Who does this? Overall a good place and I would stay again.

Was perfect! Extra large room w nice coffee maker.

We had a very comfortable stay here at Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms were very clean and the beds were adjustable. We almost did not want to leave the rooms! The front desk staff was accommodating and helpful finding us places to eat around town. Late night we wanted to buy some water and they helped us find a 24 hour convenience store in the area. The only thing I would complain about is the parking and location. There is no parking and you have to valet for $24/night!! Luckily we found an overnight parking garage down the street across from the church for $6. And the location--yes it is in downtown, but it's more off to the side of downtown. Needless to say, you can still walk to many places from the hotel and get to the heart of downtown & Nicolette Mall. Other amenities: The gym and pool were small but nice. There is also a business station where you can use computers, print, scan, etc. Wish we could have tried the breakfast but apparently it was not included in our room fees.

The staff was helpful. The fact that we had to pay for parking and that it was a block away was not good. The rooms were smaller than we were used to. But it was clean and we only used it for sleep and bathing so it met our needs.

Standard hotel room. Not close to the heart of downtown which forced us to take a cab. Paid 25$ a day for valet... Not too happy about that. No free breakfast in the morning. One nice thing about the room was the mini fridge and microwave... Other than that, nothing was over the top for this hotel. However, the price wasn't too horribly expensive. I guess you get what you pay for!
