Holiday Inn NYC - Lower East Side

Overall, good visit. Although this stay was less satisfactory as it was noisy. Could hear guests in next room. Also housekeeping staff were noisy in hallways

I decided to give Holiday Inn another try after my Chicago trip a few years ago where the stay wasn't that good either. I was visiting NY and wanted to be in the city and it was less expensive that the other hotels. The hotel room is very small and not a lot of amenities. The room was dirty and I was put on the street side where the noise was horrible. It kept me up every night with the traffic and sirens. I asked to move and they always said they couldn't move me until the afternoon. How convenient since we were already sight seeing by the early morning hours. There was no microwave for mini-fridge and you had to pay extra for the breakfast where you waited for a very long time to be served. There was only one person working. At a price of $350 per night I expected much better. This is probably the worst hotel I stayed at in New York City. I do not recommend staying here until the cost was less than $150 per night which is more in line with a 2.5 star hotel. They also need to clean the room every day.

Hotel is a very short walk from the subway which was nice, mostly when the weather was bad. The room was small but we only slept there after long touristy days in the city. Bathroom nice as well but the hair dryer is extremely old and actually shocked me. Not good. Cleanliness of bathroom OK, but found hair in the shower and walls looked dirty. Noel at the front desk was excellent! Retro restaurant was great. Female server and a chef were nice. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Very well maintained, larger than expected room. Very friendly staff. Only thing I would not do again is have the desk call a taxi. Paid double what I should have and would only take cash or surcharge a cc. Did not eat here so cannot comment but many great local restaurants close by.

Nice hotel for business/pleasure. Check-in was very easy and the room was great for business with many hookups for phone/computer and wifi was very good. Retro Bar and Grill was a great place for a drink or dinner. Staff there was very friendly. Other good restaurants very close by.

Room is VERY CLEAN, and the staffs are very nice. This hotel's location is close to everywhere i want to go and there are a lot of restaurants and bars which locate just 1 block behide the street. It's about 15 mins walk to Chinatown, 10 mins to Time Square by subway, and 20 mins by subway to financial district where you can buy a cruise tour to the statue of liberty or walk and shop around the Westfield mall.

It was great overall. Only thing was the toilet clogged.

Great location if you want to explore the Lower East Side and Little Italy. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Hotel located near a few local bars. Very clean, staff very accomodating. Room was very updated. Would stay here again no questions asked.

We stayed 7 nights. It was a great stay for us seeing how we were staying there as a convenience to get into the city. 15 mins walking distance from SOHO, Chinatown, and Little Italy. About a 30 min subway ride into mid manhattan. Stations located about a block away from hotel. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Would stay here again

This hotel, while not exactly centrally located, is convenient enough, nice, clean and a great value.

It was nice if you do not spend time in your room, Very small rooms. Stayed 4 nights and housekeeping only came once.

booked this hotel very last minute. Price was ok considering we were in New York. Staff was very nice, room was comfortable with great black out window shade so we were able to sleep in a little bit.
