The hotel is quite large and very updated. The bar and breakfast area are clean and well appointed. The breakfast was very accommodating with a diverse variety of foods. The bar was open from 4:30 on - would love to see it open for lunch. I arrived well before my check in time and would have enjoyed a drink and lunch while waiting. As it was the staff was very accommodating, ensuring a noon check in and finding me in the nooks and crannies of the lobby when my room was ready. The rooms are massive and having a small kitchenette was so very convenient, especially if we had a longer stay. Staff were so very friendly and really looked to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. We stayed on a Sunday morning and found a church service happening in the atrium. This put us a bit later than the noon checkout but the front desk helped us get back into our room to check out. Parking was a breeze as well We chose this location because it was only 15 minutes from our destination on Arthur Ave near Fordham Univ (alumni) -highly recommend this hotel!

The room that was assigned to me reeked of smoke. It seemed like someone was smoking next door or above or below me, it was unbearable. I reported it to the front desk and they did nothing about even though the staff came to the room and smelled the strong scent also. The next day I complained again and it took a while before I was transferred to another room that had two big red stains on the carpet, I made sure to take pictures of them.

I asked the staff to extend my stay by one night, the attendant took my card, but never ran it. My stay was never extended and then I had to leave. I made it work, but this could have ruined the trip.

The staff here are impeccable,courteous and helpful I was on the 5th floor this time very quiet only quarrel I have is the beds are low in the master bedroom and because I have a problem with my knee it was difficult getting up and down without assistance. Shout out to their free breakfast turkey sausage, eggs, real potatoes waffles that you cook... yogurt fresh fruit juices muffins cereal oat meal toast bagels coffee tea chocolate milk I was impressed with the variety plus it taste good! Only thing missing was grits!!! Very satisfied this trip! #4
