New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge was just as awesome as all of the Marriotts I love too stay at!

I paid a lot extra for the view. It was a waste of Money. I informed front desk immediately. They did nothing. Hotel view was awful. Not close to the Brooklyn Bridge which is also misleading. Concierge not available at all when I arrived during the day. The people at the door talked to each other and ignored my party. I would NEVER stay at a Marriott again. I didn't get what I paid for.

Very nice neat and clean....staff was friendly and helpful

Impressed with this Marriot! Fabulous gym! Good central location

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with directions getting around the city. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting New York

No time. This is annoying. I am volunteering to write a review and if I don't want to elaborate, I should have the option. You need to fix this.

After many happy stays over more than six years, I returned to discover that it's been completely repurposed. Gone are almost all guest services. NO room service. NO restaurant. NO bar food to speak of. Not so much as a bottle of water in the room. WiFi is ridiculously expensive (I just used my iPhone's hotspot). Everything now is self-serve and help-yourself. The Pantry offers breakfast sandwiches from a warmer and some cut up fruit and yogurt—unless they've run out. And of course you pay through the nose for the privilege of helping yourself. The M Lounge sounded promising—until I tried it (for an additional $40!). Barebones, uncomfortable seating. The buffet consisted of scrambled eggs and bacon and some pastries. Poorly curated: obviously not enough staff to keep up with busing, replenishing food, keeping counters and floors cleaned off. The bar keeps very narrow hours. I came downstairs at 4pm on Sunday afternoon before going out for dinner. I wanted a glass of wine and to sit and read. Oops. The bar doesn't open until 4:30. In the meantime, the staff is all there, standing around awkwardly, looking at their watches. All the personnel are very nice and clearly want to be helpful, but what's to help? No room amenities, no breakfast in your room. Ugh. I may as well have stayed in a motel, probably for less than $300+/night. I feel so disappointed.

stayed here to visit our family in brooklyn. was very convenient and lovely.

I was super impressed with the set up,of the room locations....no long hallways....so each room had privacy and quiet. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean, staff was extremely helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay there again when in Brookkyn.

Hotel was clean staff was courteous and location was perfect

The hotel was nice but has issues during renovations. The restaurant/bar is in a distant banquet room where you can get bad coffee to go. No Startbuck's or anything similar. I was lucky my client scheduled our lunch meeting elsewhere.

We had very nice time at this great Marriott with ex service

I took my family to Newyork for a family shopping trip. We paid over 250.00 per night and didn't receive a fancy room. For that amount of money I feel the accommodations could have been nicer!! I would stay again but for a lesser amount

We went to Brooklyn to visit my uncle for the holidays. We were nicely surprised by the friendly, helpful and professional staff with whom we interacted. Hotel was beautifully decorated and clean, though there were signs 'to excuse their appearance because of improvements being done.' The hotel was conveniently closely located to the subway so getting about by train was easy. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was super clean, staff was so friendly and professional, we had early check in and late check out with no extra charge at all, the warm pool was great and kids loved it. The only thing, it would be nice if the breakfast was included; but still it wasn't big deal. There are plenty of breakfast places around with decent fee. Overall I recommended totally.

Great location, good service, room size is great. We didn't have a nice view, and the air conditioning wasn't good.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are big but we think it's a little overpriced for Brooklyn. We go the NYC quite often and usually stay downtown. We booked that hotel to be close to our friends and it was nice but we paid more than we curently so when we go to the city.

We had a large group staying at the hotel for one night, which was perfectly acceptable for what we needed, a place to sleep. My only issue was that I had a charge tacked onto the room which wasn't ours. It was quickly resolved but 0 is not the same as 1.

We really like this Marriott. We stayed here originally for our daughter's wedding last year. This time it felt very familiar and welcoming. Everything was very comfortable and top drawer.

It's really best hotel I have ever stated. Services were good
