Beautiful location but service terrible

The hotel is beautiful looking forward to visiting again.

It smelled AMAZING! The staff was incredibly friendly. Our room with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge, was INCREDIBLE. Well worth the money and we’ll never stay anywhere else in Brooklyn!!

The room was loud and drafty, and I finally realized it was because the window would not fully close. It was too late for me to call downstairs and I was only staying one night. But it definitely would not close all the way.

Location was the best part about this hotel. This is not luxury. You are paying for location. That’s it.

It’s by far one of the best hotels in NY. Great view of the city from the room, rooftop pool bar/lounge that does not stop til midnight…

Loved the locations and views. Didn’t like that we need to reserve a day in advance to use the pool and other people who were not staying there can reserve the pool area

The eco friendly environment

The check-in process was seamless. I arrived earlier than 3p so my room wasn’t ready, but they held my bags. I rec’d a text shortly after 3p that my room was ready. Upon arrival to the room & after a long night of overnight travel, we realised there were no bath towels. We called front desk, they advised we are supposed to request on the app; I advised my phone was dead/charging & could they please just send some up. Over 40min had passed & no towels. We called down again & they said their phone lines were down & unable to contact housekeeping (but we were not notified of this). So after another 20min passed, I went downstairs to front desk to request the towels & the staff said they would submit the request ASAP. Another 15min had passed & still no towels, so I called to speak w someone requesting to speak w Manager on Duty. The towels came after 5min. For the amount of money paid to stay here/night, it is not worth the lack of customer service. I gave this exact feedback to Manager. It is also very very difficult to book pool reservations. U have to wait until 7p the night prior, u are unable to book in advance of that time frame (I went to pool upon to check in to inquire & this is what I was told). So I went online at 7:02p to attempt to book a time slot & unable to complete this request. By the time I told Manager of my added difficulty to book pool time, he informs me that all slots are filled & we could not be serviced. You can’t win with this place. Not worth it.

Pretentious, self important, overpriced version of Holiday Inn. I waited over 20 minutes for two scrambled eggs and sausage sandwiches and 2 cups of coffee the bill was $64. Does it take 20 minutes to cook free range eggs ? Save your money there are lots of hotels working for business. This place is not worth it and it’s actually not even worth half of what I paid.

The room was beautiful, comfortable. The bed was very comfortable also.

The property was absolutely beautiful and so was the view. Unfortunately, the service is horrible. You can’t ever get in contact with guest services. You will spend up to an hour waiting to connect with someone. The room was not as clean as I would have liked; floors were dirty; found long hairs on bed sheets; they gave us ripped towels; the pool is by reservation only- they only have 16 chairs, so if you’re going hoping to dip in the pool your chances are almost slim to none. People line up at 7am to reserve and if you don’t make it up there on time you will not secure a spot. Pool water was more like a hot tub. Water was at least 80 degrees.

Terrible customer service, would not recommend at all.

This property is beautiful and has really friendly staff. The view of the brooklyn bridge you can't beat and it was very relaxing. It's your traditional modern vibe but very well decorated. The only issue here is the walls, you can easily here the people next to you. We were unfortunate and had a big family next to us and they were screaming and yelling and making noise till 1am. We called down twice about the noise but nothing stopped until they went asleep. That was the major problem with this place which is a shame as it's such a beautiful hotel but for me sleep is important and if I can't get a good nights rest then this isn't the hotel for me to stay at.

Mostly black finishes in the room make it a bit dark. I looked for a plug for minutes, it was invisible on the counter top all in black. I like the whole environmental aspect, but the quality of some items in the room don’t feel like 5 stars. The paper holder in the bathroom and the never staying open closet door are some of them. Views are great, and cool vibes in the lobby.
