Unexpected FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS per night in garbage fees.

It's a nice hotel next to the beach with several good restaurants across the street. However, the beach is home to many people who are camping on the promenade.

This place is quiet perfectly located to visit Santa Monica and Venice Beach. The room was spacy, but the carpet in there was extremely dirty and disgusting. Furthermore the room looked a bit run down. At night it was very noisy from outside (cooling machines and party people). We never tasted the breakfast, which was included, because there a very nice and cheap placed nearby. On the rooftop of the hotel you have a beautiful view over the beach and the front walk of Venice and Santa Monica.

Stayed here last year and they had parking for guests. Show up this year and they lost their parking privileges. Front desk clerk tells me I can park up the street but it's $40. Also they charge a nightly resort fee. For what? The only amenity that's necessary on the boardwalk is parking!

The only good thing about this hotel is location. Carpet in room was filthy, no hot water, bathroom light burnt out over sink, phone did not work and windows had no screens. Anyone could climb on outside ledge from another room and crawl into your room. Pidgeons were trying to get into our room. Our room window faced an apartment building which was only 15 feet away. Those occupants could look into your room. It was too hot to keep window shade drawn. There was no a/c in room.

Overpriced ($550 for 2 nights ) hole in the wall motel - filthy carpet - the whole suite was a joke - rude staff - homeless people camping all day around the hotel ! Stay away from this hotel !

no complaints pleasent stay loved the ciew and staff and hotel

The hotel staff was very nice and courteous. However, the room had no AC and in Southern California, I am not sure how that is even legal. The room only had the basics: bed, night table, small eating table, one chair, fan, closet, small window, shower, toilet, small sink, and a TV. There was no mini fridge, no security box, no bath tub. Even worse, the floors in the room were carpeted and the carpet was severely stained, to a point where the carpet should have been completely removed from the room and trashed, it would have been impossible to clean all the stains.

There is no air conditioning in this hotel and while the breeze cools the hallway well it does not reach the room even with windows open. There is a large homeless population right outside this hotel that was noisy and unruly. Police were literally on scene to try and help several times that night for one mentally disturbed man in particular. This is not a good beach for families with children and it does not feel very safe. The restaurant next door is wonderful but they are noisy at night as they take down their chairs and tables. We were awake all night from either heat, yelling homeless people or noise from the restaurant. We give this place 2.5 stars for effort as you can tell they are trying to revitalize it but there is too much downside going on for us to recommend it or stay again.

The only upside is the fact that it's close to the beach. The carpet was filthy. The room smelled terrible and was unbelievably hot. We've stayed on Venice beach in the Venice breeze suites for the past 6 years but it was all booked so hose Cadillac and it was disappointing. The rooms definitely need wood floors to get rid of the musky smells.

Driving into town at night to check in, the area felt unsafe and run down and made me very leary about wanting to even stay here. Once inside the lobby, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The bedding and bathroom were clean and updated but the carpet in my room was filthy and had an odor.

Friendly staff, very helpful. The building is being remodel at this time. Not a luxury hotel, but it is a nice decent, down to earth hotel, You will definitely get the California experience. I love the fact that the hotel is so close to the beach. Every morning my daughter and I were able to just walk to the beach. If you just want to go visit the beach or be near the beach, this is a great little hotel to go to. There is a nice restaurant right across from the hotel, excellent food. Overall, great experience.

This hotel has an AWESOME location and appeared to be a great price, but there was no air conditioning. Thankfully that night the temperature got down into the 60's, so the no air conditioning was not a problem. Other than that this hotel was good. You cannot beat it's location for the price. I would stay here again (but will have to remember to check the weather forecast.)

Clean good place on the boardwalk. Great roof deck viewa

Can't beat the location and the price. Great staff, very nice place.

The hotel was not as expected. You can hear the rooms next to you. Also, they do not offer parking they will ask you to park it next door where they gonna charge you 20 away and 30 over night. Room smells nasty. i will not stay there again for the price

It is very well located, cleaness coul be a lot better, overall is ok a little expensive for waht it is

The hotel is great if you are looking for location and being so close to the beach was also our aim. If you are looking for luxury you are not going to get it with this hotel as it is basic. The room we had was small and did not have much of a view although I had requested this when booking my trip. It is within walking distance of the famous Pier and the outdoor bars and many bands playing made this an ideal spot. Very busy location with lots to see and the street vendors were everywhere. If you rent a car from the airport like I did you will find it difficult to park as there is limited parking available.

short stay. rooms were fine very basic. hotel was right on the water with a beautiful view. parking lot was tight and difficult with SUV.

A dirty, terribile elevator, the room was covered of smoke of tabacco, the charge 20 usd for parking trat you can found outsider for 9, the place is a homeless parking. Too much for 145 usd
