The rooms were and felt dirty. Funky smell, everything was old, beds were stained and hard. Never going cheap again, would rather pay $70-80 more for a safer and clean hotel. Lesson learned.

The Adventurer is great for travelers, especially if you're just passing through for a night or two and need a cost-efficient place to stay. It had a party atmosphere and the community areas reminded us of hostels in Europe. They have all kinds of perks for guests throughout the day (free breakfast, cookies in the afternoon, champagne in the evening, popcorn all day by the pool etc) and we will definitely come back next time we're passing through LA.

Room dirty, no free breakfast menu was a lie staff was a rude!!

Checked in at 1130pm after a long international flight with my kids . Room provided was dirty .carpet dirty. bathroom shower has shaved hairs all over by the window. toilet flush work every 5minutes. Fly flying inside the room. room smelled strong paint odor you can't even breath. called up orbitz customer service and requested a full refund and was referred to see the front desk agent. was given a different room still very old room. my kids were scared as peope are drinking by the pool and smells weed smoke. checked out at 430am with me and my kids with no sleep and didn't shower at all and very hungry and was taken by shuttle to the airport and driver was speeding on the way to the airport which scared my kids. still gave driver $5 tip. I NEED A FULL REFUND OF MY MONEY FOR COMPLETE SERVICE FAILURE OF THE SERVICE I HAVE PURCHASED! Orbitz should take a very close look at this hotel and not do any business with them as this will hurt Orbitz brand and business relationship with clients.

Gnats greeted me in my room, chronics outside our doors smoking pot. The ATM machine cloned a guests card and zeroed out his account. Don't ever stay here. Very unsafe area. The cops blocked off the streets on a man hunt for someone.

The hotel advertisement was misleading. They have guess there that really lives in LA. They come around by the pool and smoke weed all day. There were 2 break-ins into tourist rooms and the front desk staff were horrible. They really need to know the definition of customer service. The only good thing I can say is that they have a very good cooks and bartender. The cleaning staff was great they helped out with providing towels or whatever you needed, don't call the front desk their attitudes sucks. There were only 2 young ladies that was pleasant and showed concern about the tourist. I hate I didn't get their names. The shuttle driver is very friendly and polite. They need security to check to see who the tourist are around the pool so you feel comfortable sitting out.

too much noise at night time if you are with family and small kids, rooms are clean but not too comfortable, the reception area could be a bit cleaner and a remodel in various area would make the place even more appealing. The cleaning staff was very nice.

It doesn't look like the pictures. Stayed in room next to the alley. With all kind of commotion and all kinda noise all night long.

Dirty, no parking, room smelled, carpet too dirty to take shoes off!

Not recommended. Restaurant service is a major problem.

I booked this hotel for myself and my three children. We travel a lot and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever booked Our room hadnt been vaccumed before we checked in so there was debris on the carpet and misc items under the bed. front desk is rude and talks to you like they are holier than thou. and seem offended when you ask any questions. people were allowed to smoke weed in the pool area, even when children are around. and i was approached by a man who asked if i wanted to buy any while i was with my children. hairs and gnats were stuck in the pait in the bathroom where the fixtures were falling apart and rusting. loud people all hours of the night due to the tiki bar. most who booked the hotel were obvious partiers. ice bin didnt work, free popcorn was always out, free muffins and cake ran out before the time period ended. doors are not secure if traveling with children. my door/gate cards deactivated everyday and had to get them reactivated daily, pool had trash and bugs in it daily which nobody ever cleared out. not enough parking

Terrible. No clear. Inappropriate people. The horrible smell. Dirty sheet This should not be a hotel.

I would say it's an old motel not an airport hotel. No star at all. Loudy, basic and not worth the money

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Where to begin...First, the motel offers free airport transportation to/from LAX. I called the motel after clearing customs at LAX, and was told the shuttle would be there to pick me and my family up within 20-25 minutes. We waited 1hr 15 minutes before it arrived, and even then, the shuttle didn't stop at the designated hotel pickup area (if you know LAX, you know the areas), and I had to chase it down yelling for it to stop. Then the driver had the audacity to expect a tip after he dropped us off. While waiting, I tried calling the motel back, but the entire time they would not pick up the phone. At one point, I tried for 15 solid minutes - no answer. I even tried an alternate phone number - no luck there either. Super seedy neighborhood, even the dollar store had bars covering the store front. Check-in was slow - even when attending to us the staff seemed not to pay us any attention, easily distracted by everything. A friend of one of the desk clerks had been visiting while we were checking in, and when this friend left, the desk clerk yelled loudly to her friend, "Use protection!" in Spanish while waiting on another customer. There was also a cash deposit of $35 required at check in, which surprised me. It was not a problem (and we did get it back), but there was no receipt given when we handed over the deposit, which made me nervous. I wish I could go on, but this only allows so many characters. It gets worse..

The first thing that left us an impression of this place was actually the parking situation. We arrived at about half past midnight and there were no spaces available, not only that but there were easily a dozen or so cars blocking other cars in. The two ladies at the front desk were very unfriendly when we first checked in and treated us like we were stupid for not realizing we were allowed to block other cars in with ours (they call you if they need the car moved). There's a second lot that you have to call the enter, and it was less full so we decided to do that. We called four times, were on hold each time, and hung up on every time so we couldn't get in. After 15 minutes of waiting we gave up. The next morning we find out that the girls who booked us apparently did it wrong and had to go to the front desk to sort it out (I'll note that the lady there at that time seemed much nicer). The bedding is atrocious (no comforter, just two ugly fleece blankets stacked on top of each other and some rock hard, mismatched pillows) and the rooms all have an unpleasant smell to them. It's noisy at night and the carpet was so disgusting I wouldn't walk on it barefoot. I'm not normally the type to leave a negative review but this place was just impressively bad.

Potentially fun hotel for someone with more time. Unfortunately I was rushed and had very little time. Folks always coming and going from the lobby and recreational area in back. Has a definite So-Cal (Southern California) feel as far as I can tell. Has pool, pool-tables, bar, and potential for meeting new folks for those who are bolder. (I am too shy, and, like I said, had little time.) Yes, yes, the building has seen younger years, floors creak and things like that. But it is well kept up. I love the way it is over-grown with ivy. They have a cool shuttle van. Free shuttle to and from airport (and other places), but give it time, Los Angeles traffic is terrible. My only complaint, they are adamantly stubborn about check out time which is noon. I needed just a few more hours. That's what made me give it 4 rather than 5. I would recommend it to a friend who is not someone who thinks they need to be treated like royalty and I plan to stay there again. Also, it has it's own rental car agent with good rates.

Luckily I was upgraded to the Bungalo cottage. It was a cute cabin fully equipped with crystal chandeliers, A bar table, mirrored walls, and living room with 2 full-size flatscreen televisions and an awesome porch/patio. I was greeted every morning by two sweet little baby kittens. Having the convenience of that free adventure Inn shuttle was quite nice as was the free popcorn and chocolate chip cookies of course :-) The hotel staff is always accommodating and pleasant. Did I mentioned that the pool is heated to about 80° and they play music on the deck :-) A very cool place for travelers abroad .

There were lots of roaches in the "kitchen" area. The hotel is very basic and you get what you pay for. Staff is rude. When we called from our room to ask about the wifi she hung up on us mid conversation. You have to call to get in and out of the gate but several times they didn't answer or the line was busy for a few minutes so we were stuck waiting. The room looked clean except for the roaches and had very hot water. It's more of a hostel vibe and has a bar and lots of younger people smoking weed by the pool. We were on a business trip so only were there to sleep and didn't spend any other time there. The continental breakfast was a blueberry muffin but I never knew where it was so we didn't try them. We left a day early because I was so grossed out.

Definitely not a place to stay with your family. The hotel is in pretty bad condition. I should have suspected that because of the price.

This place is a hostel for international travelers. My "suite" was filthy- stains on carpet, knobs missing on doors/cupboards, holes/stains in bedsheets/blankets, dirt/dust in bathroom. Location is in very shady area. Check-in was SLOW & workers were rude and unhelpful. No parking. All of the rooms surround an outdoor pool & bar area- LOUD. I was barely there for 5 minutes before deciding that I would not be able to feel comfortable or safe staying the night at this place. Very disappointing.
