Bad location. Room was not in good condition. The sprayed an air freshener in the room that was overpowering. We just could not stay there because of the air freshener smell. The had us sign an room agreement that was long and condescending. The manager would not refund the money so we lost $62.00. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!
I stayed in jails that accommodated more . If you don't get shot you'll get shot at . The beds were terrible , the water didn't turn off, the tv wouldn't change channels , and you have to check in before 8..... but they don't tell you that when you book after 8. Obviously was a last minute hotel but dang.... no class
Why do you people keep staying here? We had the misfortune of having to stay here for a while and witnessed things I don't want to see again...drugs, violence, suicide, bed bugs, mistreatment by the staff..please, STAY AWAY. It is owned and run by criminals.
They don't provide blankets pillows or free wifi. You can get a free coffee in the morning after they open, but that's if you are lucky and the desk clerk is in a good mood. Most days she has her kids with her so she's occupied. I did enjoy the stray cats that hang by the dumpster area. They ate good cause the long term residents throw as much garbage on the ground as they do in the dumpster. Good luck and don't get a sexually transmitted disease because the hood you'll be in looks like Beirut.
This is not a place for travellers: it's neither safe nor hospitable, and most people who stay here appear to be long-term residents (you must sign a lease, yes a lease, to stay). The sign on the door of the casino reads "No Firearms". This should tell you everything you need to know, but in case you want more info.: when we arrived (around 7:00 pm on a Saturday), there was no one in the office, and no one to be found who could tell us when someone might show up. When we were finally given a room, it had a broken latch on the door, not that a latch would offer any real security when each room has a walkway-facing window that could easily become an entry into the room. Moreover, this hotel uses keys (not on an identifiable keychain) that anyone could easily copy and then use to enter your room whenever they felt like it. The room had a powerful chemical smell (some industrial strength cleaner?) that hurt my lungs and gave me a headache. And the bathroom door jamb was broken (e.g. door had previously been kicked in). As we had to check out very early, the office was not yet open - yes it's weird and poor service that the office closes overnight - and we were advised at check-in to leave the key in the room on the dresser. This hardly seems like a safe practice to me, but that's how they roll at the Siegal Slots and Suites. This place is cheap, and on a Saturday night in Vegas that might seem like a great thing, but everything about it (the neighbourhood, the stuff going down at the casino, the broken latch) made me fear that my night spent there could be my last. And that would be a terrible way to go down. It was my mistake not to read reviews before landing here, so please put my mistake to good use: if you value your sense of safety and happiness, do not stay here.
This property is located close to Nellis Air Force Base, in North Las Vegas. Seems to be a rough area of the city. Might not be safe to be walking around alone after dark. This seems to be a place for longggg term residents rather than travellers. When you register you have to sign an 8-page document which is similar to a rental contract. The room was clean with two beds two chairs, a small fridge a TV and a table. A microwave in the office is available for use. No coffee maker in room. Long term residents have pet dogs that can get noisy at times. Not worth the price. No internet access for the short-term vacationer.
The refurbished Barcelona Hotel and Casino now known as Siegel Suites appeared clean and security guard, slot attendants and casino staff were cheerful and helpful. So, why the one star? THE RESTAURANT! My husband and I went in on a Sunday morning around 11am to try the new soul food kitchen and the wait staff was fine, but the food was an insult and I believe the cook deliberately adulterated the food. We received a lot of hostile attitude from two other restaurant goers, there were 5 other people in there besides us. I ordered the eggs and shrimp. Hubby ordered eggs over medium, English muffin well done. Despite the lack of business in the restaurant, it took more than 45 minutes to get the food. I joked: "They are out catching my shrimp." The food finally arrived. My eggs were very runny and had an off/oily taste to them. Hubby's eggs were barely cooked, (Note to Chef: SALMONELLA KILLS!), and the English muffin hadn't even seen a toaster. Hubby asked for the eggs to be over medium and when the return dish was slung on the table, the eggs looked like two dried out hockey pucks. I never dreamed, until now, of someone using food as a weapon. We were disappointed and disgusted at what appeared to be a "middle finger" salute to people who wanted to enjoy breakfast. When it came time to pay the bill, we couldn't find the server but I heard a great deal of loud, "gotcha" laughter from the kitchen. The security guard summoned the waitress so I could pay the bill, and the female chef, what an angry, ugly, violent, soul-scarred woman, came out of the kitchen jerking her chin at us, bobbling her head, eyes hard and angry and puffing out her chest like an pouter pigeon and her hands on her hips. We left and within twenty minutes I urgently had stomach issues and for the next three days I couldn't get far from a restroom. Later that day as I clenched my stomach in agony, I understood the "gotcha" laughter, the attitude and the chin jerking. She may have put dish soap - or worse - in my food. I don't even want to think about it. To the Chef: GET HELP, YOU'RE A SERIOUSLY DISTURBED WOMAN.
I wish I could give zero star for this hotel. I reserved a hot rate hotel on Hotwire for the night of July 3. The price was really good for 2.5 star (as rated by booking site) hotel, but they masked the hotel name and location. After committed my booking, they gave me this hotel. I have had decent experience with Hotwire hot rate, but this was not at all. I checked for the hotel reviews and saw all the bad reviews. Too bad, I couldn't withdraw my booking because it was "hot rate". I decided to take my family of 2 adults and 2 kids there just to sleep for the night. We arrived at 12:30am (30 minutes past midnight) very tired and hoped to get a good sleep. The hotel office was CLOSED AT MIDNIGHT. Really??? for a 2.5 star hotel, casino and suites (in Las Vegas) to close at midnight. I successfully asked a security guy to check us in. He went in to the office to find our paperwork. Nothing with our name on it even in the "reservation list", "cancellation list" or "no-show list". So, he couldn't let us in and he said the hotel was sold-out anyway. That night, we had to spend 3 times as much money to get a room from another hotel nearby to sleep. The pain didn't end there. The Monday after the incident, and for the straight 10 days after, I called the hotel everyday demanding to speak to the manager. She spoke with me for the first time promising to look at the case, but she never spoke to me again and never called me back as promised. I then had to complain with Hotwire and after a week, they took care of the refund. Even now, I'm still very angry whenever thinking about that hotel. I hope you will AVOID this place.
The hotel in a very dangerous and rough area! It was a big mistake that I stayed there for 1 night as all other hotels were sold out! It's not worth the risk of getting hurt or rubbed to save few bucks!!! I will never stay there again! The rooms are exteremely poor in everything! I am very upset that Hotwire did list this hotel! Enough said!
It started with check in.. Office closed at appx. 2pm... Why.. Took 30 minutes to get checked in. Then we were charged for wi fi, which I was told was free, The rate was jacked up with a resort fee. ( which said there was not any) This was Booking.com. I asked for a queen and got two, handicapped and got 2nd floor. and no maid service for the time here. No answer from the front desk when I called. I have not had such a bad room in years.....
