No hot water for showers, looked like ceiling above shower had some major leaking issues and was bulging with water, phone in room didn't work, counter in room looked like it was about to cave in, room smelt like bologna.

Rooms are very dated and in need of a complete upgrade. Kitchenette is circa 1950s and the refrigerator makes enough noise to disrupt most sleepers. The room smelled absolutely horrible with some combination of past smoke plus chemicals / cleaning plus unknown odors likely from mildew or deteriorating carpet. I had to leave the window open the entire night to exchange fresh air to make it tolerable. Pathetic small gym with no windows and an ancient cycle and treadmill closed for covid. Free breakfast removed foe covid. Coffee didn’t even have cups so being your own. Candidly sleeping in your car would have been better. Brutal night with very little sleep. Lastly, the insulation is nonexistent between rooms such that I heard the person in the room above me walking across the room like it was being magnified by hollow floorboards.
Some maintenance was lacking. For example no lightbulbs in lamp. When we asked for one, they didn’t have any available

I didn't get the room I reserved. They did make sure we had room for our entire family, so it turned out okay, but it wasn't too happy that my room was not available.

In comparison to the Boise, ID Extended Stay we stayed at back in October, this one was rather disappointing. Check in took a long time and the level of professionalism among staff was sub-par. Rather than talking to me, the customer, that it will be a few more minutes to check in the clerk spoke to her coworker and said "Ill let you check her in I gotta deal with this."
The staffs were so awesome! Very polite and professional.
The amenities usually expected were not provided. Soap and shampoo were provided, but there was no coffee and the breakfast was a grab-and-go. Although there were places to eat, there was not so much as a single cup provided; however, there was a note saying we could request dishes from the front desk and they would be brought to the room.
I want to stay in a extended stay in florida. I want to hope it will not smell of mold and mildew. Every motel chain i stayed in was that way. Hopefully yours wont be. I was VERY happy with my stay!
