The Wildwood Hotel

Recent guest reviews

Very hospitable and located around several restaurants and stores.

Hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and offered waffles, omelettes, fresh fruit - lots of options for adults and kids. We liked the safety of the parking garage with the easy access to the hotel and the fact that the police station was across the street.

It was a good experience overall. However, the first floor was muggy due to the pool, but the location of the pool was.a.fair trade. In addition, the fire alarm falted at 2am in the hotel due to someone's jacquzi. This affected the entire hotel. It was terrible. No one informed guests on what happened, which led us to worry all night. Would stay again if hotel staff would acknowledge and apologize for alarm fault at 2am!

This stay was less than par. Lights hanging out of the ceiling in the pool house. Jaccuzzi didnt work. Button missing inside the elevator. Some of the lights in the room didnt work. There was hair on top of the bowl half and half creamer. If we hadnt arrive in the middle of the night we would have just left. You have to park in a parking garage, which is fine except the walk outside of the hotel wreaks of dog feces. The room in the picture when we booked through orbitz was not the room we got. This was my 1st time booking through this company. I will rethink before booking any further trips through orbitz.

Hotel personnel are remarkable and very helpful, breakfast few variety , indoor pool clean , rooms clean

I would recommend this hotel, the area is very nice and the rates are not too pricey.

Perfect for a weekend getaway to St. Louis without having to worry about the bustle of staying in the city.

Bed very comfortable. Gorgeous hotel and surrounding town

Best hotel I have ever stayed at. Beds were super comfortable, staff was friendly, good breakfast, and a good pool/hot tub.

Great rooms, and clean, and great customer service. Nice area too, would stay again

Nice setting, friendly staff..loved that my furry family was allowed. Not so happy that it was $25 PER PET vs the nominal $25 total. Despite very nice clean rooms.

This was a very comfortable and clean hotel with a nice morning breakfast. The only area for improvement would be the pool area - the pool is very small (half the size of a normal pool) and the hot tub was not working during our stay. Our kids look forward to the pools and hot tubs at hotels, so that was a bummer for us. I would definately ask if everything is in commission in the future, if you are going to be using either the pool or hot tub.

Very relaxing stay. The staff was super polite and helpful. The room was spacious. Definitely recommend as will be back

Enjoyed the room and accommodations but too much bedding in regards to covers. Room was warm on second night and if turned on fan to cool off, noise from fan was loud and hard to sleep. Staffing was very nice. The only wish is that staff would not take smoke breaks in garage near hotel doors. Even though they were not standing there when we entered, the area smelled of smoke. Great location, great price and ambience was very pretty.

We arrived late. The location seems not that covenient, though it's quiet and clean. The room is great, spacious and clean. The bed mattress was too soft for us.

Amazing setting. Wish I could have stayed even longer. Everything was lovely.

I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The wifi constantly cut out and room had a mild moldy smell. I feel we received a great price on our room, and I'm not sure that we would stay here again for same price. If we had paid a true 4 star price, I would have been highly disappointed with this purchase. The price definitely eases the pain.

We were so happy that we booked our anniversary at The Wildwood Hotel. It was lovely. It was much nicer than we expected. The room was beautiful and the linens and bed were so nice! The hotel was in a great location. An easy 25 minute drive to the arch. So glad we stayed here.

We had an awesome time here. It was way nicer then we expected. Staff were friendly rooms were clean breakfast was good. I only have one complaint the pool was way to small. Other then that it was a great hotel! If we ever head back that way we will be staying there.

There was a gentlemen being the front dest, who worked nights and was exceptionally well dressed, who if he wasn't the manager, he should have been. Our room however... the air conditioning filters were filthy, and our room was NOT cleaned the entire time we were there. It's in need of an update, and not big enough to accommodate the amount of people that were there on a TUESDAY! we made mention of all the issues we had and we're never compensated anyrhing, regardless of the high amount of money we spent on the room.

Thank you Jesse for sharing your experience. I do deeply apologize for the inconvenience of the fire alarm. Our alarm system is quit sensitive which is for our guests protection. Again, we apologize and hope you will return to our hotel in the future so we have the chance to show you our normal five star experience we strive for.

This was just one of 2 lights hanging out of the ceiling. Missing button Light hanging out of the ceiling.

I apologize, maintenance had been working on the lights and we should have placed an "under construction sign" at the pool. We will immediately get the button on the elevator fixed. We will also discuss with our staff on your experience. Again, we certainly apologize. This is not the perception we would like to leave you with. We strive to keep everything top notch and we did not do so in your case.
