It needs to be displayed somewhere that you cannot rent a room unless you are 21. I spent the entire week looking forward to getting away at the Stoney Creek Hotel in my reserved room, only to find out that I cannot rent my reserved room because I am only 20 years of age. When I was not informed in any way before I arrived and was denied.

Not made aware of any VIP amenities. If we did get a room upgrade we were not made aware of it. People in the bar we’re using a token for a free drink they said was part of there VIP stay. We were never offered this or explained what VIP perks we had. I asked for a change of bedding on the second nights stay. We never did receive the fitted sheet or mattress protector. When i asked for it the second time i was brought another sheet! I don’t believe the person even knew what it was! Other than these couple of items the place was very nice. Decor was excellent. Breakfast was good. The bar was excellent and we really appreciated the appetizers!

Overall, the room was in good condition. Staff was cordial to friendly. Breakfast food was adequate. Restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. Parking lot was well lit. I noticed what seemed like police cars cruising the parking lots. I felt safe. On the negative side, from two different dates, the refrigerators didn't work properly. On my second stay, the shower curtain on my second stay was less than clean. Where I walked my dog behind the hotel on the path around the pond, behind the bushes on the other side of the pool, there was scattered trash. It did seem isolated to that one area. Really disappointed in a dirty shower curtain. While the staff did note the complaints, they were however, less than apologetic or sympathetic.

Rustic decor was very much like a mountain lodge without being over-the-top. My room was spacious and comfortable. Several restaurants just a short drive away.
