When we arrived, there was already a lady waiting before us at the counter and no employees present. The hotel was hot everywhere we went, hallways, elevators, etc. There was a sign on the counter saying she had to run to a room and would return. There was a man who kept coming out from the back saying she would be back, but he obviously did not lift a finger to help any one of us. Eventually, by the time the sole employee turned (who was quite nice, but overwhelmed), there were at least 20 people in line behind us. So glad we arrived when we did so we didn't have to wait in that long line.
The room was fine and clean. We were a bit worried walking into the front desk area what condition the room would be though. The front desk area was dirty and very worn looking. One lady checking us in, it took awhile. Just seemed like a 2 star hotel upon check-in. But our room was fine, although lacking in coffee.
When we arrived the lobby smelled like marijuana and the elevator was worse. We went to the first room that was assigned o ly to be overpowered by the smell of smoke and marajuana immediately upon opening the door! Went back to the front desk, had to wait behind 4 other guests checking in becaise the front deak phone was not answered. Received a new room that was better. First night was not bad, but couldnt get hot water to our shower for 20 minutes after i started to run it. Called down to ask for one more pillow and was told i would get a call back, never did. Waited several hours and left for dinner, still nothing. Went down stairs after we got back to find no pillow in our room. She said it would be 45 minutes (about 11pm) before one could come up. She called about 40 minutes later and said they didnt have any after I waited up for it. It was not terrible, but would not stay here again.
Nice quiet location, easy to get to from most places in St Louis. Only downfall was pool wasnt open and my grandkids wanted to swim. Would definitely stay there again.
Beds comfortable and showers hot with good flow. Most important things to us. Breakfast decent but not overly tasty but edible and filling. Room could use a paint job, tub stained and light around mirror doesn’t work. We’ll worth it for the price
The property was clean but in need of a renovation.
Hotel was perfect for a girls night out at a local music park. Great location. Breakfast was fine. It’s a bit old. Wouldn’t recommend for a romantic weekend. Bathtub didn’t drain well.
Everything I will definitely be coming back to stay
The hotel is good enough if you need a clean bed and shower. WIFI worked great and was able to work remotely. The room was clean enough and nothing stood out to make me complain about the room. However, the room smelled because of lack of air circulation, but it got better through out my one night stay. If you get in late and would like a snack there are snacks and drinks that you may purchase or just order with DoorDash. The owners could do better when it comes to cleaning the hallways or other common areas. The staff is kind and respectful. Just ask them if you need anything.
We Loved our Suite, nice and cool. Enjoyed the pool and turtle pond
I definitely would stay here again everyone was nice and service was on point
Dirty and needs updating
The staff was nice however the building was old, we had to change rooms because our shower had brown rust
Like: plenty of parking. Dislike: 2nd elevator down for over 24 hr.
Great location. Close to restaurants and airport. right off the highway too. Was not very clean. Lots of trash outside and not very clean inside.
Overall the place was in run down condition. No matter where you were or where you looked there was either something run down and broken or dirty. We typically stay at Best Westerns and will definitely go back to them. Examples: When we checked in we were given key to a room on 4th floor. Went up there and opened door and there were bags and stuff from someone else. That is scary that the staff would mess that up. We were given another room and they apologized but still- if I was in the room that was keyed into by another guess I’d be ticked. The carpet in our room was nasty. My 9 month old was crawling for no more than 5 minutes and his legs were black. Gross. Trash cans out front were overflowing with trash at 8am. That is a management issue. Breakfast was good - and location was good. If you can find other options, I’d look at them.
