We were unaware that the hotel was under renovation but we checking early and the front office person upgraded us to a one bedroom suite which was much bigger than the room we originally had. Our stay was comfortable and peaceful. There was no noise from the renovation. The only ice machine working is in the front lobby area but that was the only small inconvenience. We enjoyed our room and time. I would recommend staying here even through renovations. The beds are comfortable and clean. Staff is very nice.

I booked here for the hot tub and pool and when I arrived I was told they were shut down permanently. They couldn’t reduce my rate because I booked thru third party. The breakfast was bad and the room was outdated, but staff was very nice. I won’t return.

Pricing: Sonesta is on the lower end of the pricing scale for similar hotels in the Tiffany Springs/Airport area. Meeting “n” Exceeding: The front desk staff were friendly and attentive to our needs and inquiries during our stay. Room to Refine: I assume many hotels will renovate in preparation for FIFA in KC next year. ⚠️We would have like to have been informed of this prior to our stay, considering the pool, hot tub, fitness center, and interior courtyard were all inaccessible and entirely under construction 🚧. There was a bar/lounge area, which was also adjacent to construction and a ghost town each time we walked past it. Summary: The rooms are fine and dutifully clean, and the rate wont hurt your wallet. I’d be interested to see the hotel once the Marriott conversion is completed, however, if you desire any amenities beyond a place to rest your head, I’d suggest elsewhere.
