Traveling back from holidays with my daughter I realized I would need to stop in Kansas City unexpectedly and got on hotels.com to book a spot. I found an extended stay hotel in my budget and reserved the room - paying in full through hotels.com. I booked the room about four hours prior to arriving. Once I arrived the hotel smelled of weed, the front desk attendant had a sign up that she was busy helping another customer when in reality she was around the corner smoking. Once she came into the front, she advised me they did not have a room for me due to low staffing and only being rooms with two beds that were available. She told me I would need to call hotels.com in order to get it rectified. I got on the chat with hotels.com who then called the front desk attendant and cleared everything up so they said. When I went inside the second time to claim my room the front desk attendant informed me I would need to pay the difference since they only had rooms with two beds available. Front desk attendant was sketchy, offering me the room card telling me to go check out the room make sure I liked it before accepting trying to hold my ID but it just didn’t feel right. When she tried to charge me the difference the amount for the full room popped up on the screen instead. I told her that I needed to say only the difference for me to swipe the card. Left after one night. Staff at the front was nice, but the effort put into making the rooms comfortable was nonexistent. I was put on the first floor and immediately found my window was unlocked and there was a large crack going down the glass. Random cars of smokers were pulling up in the parking lot behind my room all night which made me feel unsafe given the condition of the room and window. Whole building smelled of cigarettes. Bugs. No towel for shower. Sheets seemed clean, but everything else in the room did not.

Everything is terrible with this property, starting with the safety,hotel checkin and hygiene, the hotel attendant was not present at the counter to checkin guests,she is too rude and doesn't answer the guest's question,smell of weed and cigarettes everywhere, avoid if you are with family,I checked the room,saw cockroaches inside,the beds are very dusty and unhygienic,would recommend people to stay out of this

The place was old and dingy. The rooms were old and looked unclean. Some of the dirt looked like it would not come off due to the age of the appliances. There was a big roach on the wall. There were people hanging out in cars in the parking lot doing various things, and this was around midnight. I left after I inspected the room and realized that I could not sleep there.

The room was not clean and the walls and nightstand drawer were downright filthy. There were bugs, dead and alive, and the bathroom door didn't have a handle, just a hole where one should be. We were supposed to stay for 5 nights. We ended up staying about 10 minutes before deciding the state of the room was too bad. It's been almost a month and they have not given us a refund. Hotels.com told me they pursued one on our behalf multiple times, but that Extended Stay appeared to be unwilling. We are not talking a refund of just 1 night, but of 5 nights, so it is a significant chunk of money. It's very unfair that they're holding onto it when we didnt even stay due to unsatisfactory conditions. I waited this long to write a review because I had no desire to hurt their business if they made things right and I wanted to give them a chance to do so. But they have not.

people staying around us were respectful . however the rooms & property was disgusting , infested with roaches and gnats . i couldn’t even take a bite of my food without being swarmed by gnats . roaches was coming out from the pictures behind the bed frames , overall the cleanliness of this place is 0/10. front desk staff was nice and respectful but there was hardly ever anybody in the front office .

They do not call if ALL the rooms are booked so guest can make other accommodations. Please be careful. The location on 105th was at least kind enough to call us to let us know. They also have a locked door so you can’t get into the lobby and it has a grossly sticky phone and the doorway area smells.
