It is amazing palace!
For starters, the room looked NOTHING like what they portray in their online pictures. We reserved an oceanfront room to the tune of over $400 dollars. The room is tiny, old, dirty and smelled awful (moldy). There is not even a balcony...so your “oceanfront” premium room is literally just a distant view of the ocean through a dirty window. My wife and I literally did not even stay 10 minutes. We went back to the desk and very politely told the staff that the room was dirty, damp, smelled of mold / mildew and that we were not comfortable staying there. Now mind you, this was a vacation in another city that we had already paid a great deal for, so you can imagine the level of disappointment. The girl at the desk was nice, but just said...next time you should book the “Tradewind” room. No offer of any kind to remedy the situation...which I’m sure is because we booked through a 3rd party (Orbitz) and therefore the hotel is already paid. The customer service only went downhill from there, with every phone call from Orbitz resulting in the “manager” never being around to take the call. Ultimately (via email) Elizabeth Pointe refused to refund our money for either day. Now mind you, we never stayed a single night in this hotel. And this was not a case of us “cancelling” a reservation. We found the hotel to be dirty, damp and moldy and frankly would not stay there for free, much less at $400 per night. Stay away. The online representation is nowhere near the reality.
The staff and lodge were a perfectly romantic place for our anniversary celebration. We will be back.
Jewelie was excellent. Was surprised by lack of care for cleaning the room, the dryer broke the 1st day we were there, by the 4th day we were able to get clean towels, sheets were nvr changed, had to ask for more soap a few times. If the dryer wouldn't of broke I'm sure the room would of been properly cleaned I think it threw them for a loop
great place to relax and unwind, staff was wonderfully accommodating and very pleasant!
The Lodge location on the beach is beautiful! Our room was clean and staff was very friendly. The price of the room was a bit high but we had a great stay!
