Our family made the annual trip to Hilton Head Island again and stayed a week at the Marriott Grand Ocean Resort. The Grand Ocean is our favorite resort at HHI. They continue to make it better year after year! We love the comfortable units, the pools, bar, and wonderful access to the beach! The Marriott staff is always welcoming and helpful. Staying at the Grand Ocean also gives us immediate access to the Sea Pines plantation, and that is our favorite on the island. Next year, we will be back to enjoy another great week at the Grand Ocean!

We come to Hilton Head every year and stay at this resort. The villas are large and beautiful and completely equip with all you could need. The grounds and pools are beautiful and well maintained. There are activities scheduled every day and we always leave making new friends! The staff is extremely accommodating, friendly and always available. Johnathan the manager goes out of his way to make everyone feel like a special guest and do what he can to make your stay the best it can be!

Our second time at this resort and it was just as good as the first. Two bedroom unit in excellent condition and extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lots of activities to keep you busy. All workers are extremely friendly and always busy doing their job to keep the place in tip top shape. Kelly at front desk extremely accommodating (Hi Kelly and thanks again). Beautiful beach, beautiful grounds..just an overall perfect resort. Oh, and the Marketplace is gone. The two person jacuzzi in the master bedroom is great. The king bed very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, cooking utensils, etc. except we couldn't reach the wine glasses way up on the top shelf. Full size washer and dryer in each unit with 2 packets laundry soap provided. Stainless steel appliances, huge toaster. Big glass dining table..place mats in drawer in kitchen. Everything worked as it should. Starter pack of coffee, paper towels, dishwasher soap, sponge, small liquid dish soap, small salt and pepper. Double sink in master bath as well as big shower. Small shampoo, conditioner, lotion in each bathroom. Hair dryer in drawer in master bathroom. Safe in master closet. Second bedroom had 2 Queen beds and small bathroom with shower. Living room furniture very comfortable. Three tvs. Wifi very good as well as cell phone coverage. Large balcony with table and chairs..great for morning coffee or meals. Parking garage for one car per unit. Additional parking outside. Several pools and hot tubs. Lagoon with many turtles. Grilling areas were kept clean. Checkout the activity "Grilling with the Guys" for samples of what they grill. Security gate where every vehicle entering is checked. Pass for Sea Pines. Bicycle rentals on site. Island famous for many bicycle paths and golfing. My only disappointment is my hubby forgot to take the gift bag given to us because where we live is doing away with plastic bags and this bag would have served a purpose as well as being part of our memories of another perfect vacation on gorgeous Hilton Head...oh well, wish I could get it back .... sigh!!! And I can't even recall if I had anything in the bag...it was in the bedroom and he was in charge of clearing the bedroom while I packed up and cleaned the kitchen. Did not realize he forgot it until we got home!!! He was just in a hurry to "get on the road" for our very long drive home.

We were told we would be without water for an hour one morning and the water was out until 7pm. We had to shower in the pool showers and our toilets were full of poop because the water was turned off 1 hour earlier than they told us it would be. The gave me $100 credit but honestly after 4 visits thus year will be our last. As a lifetime platinum member I have no status at this location because they cater to owners over Marriott elites, even though owners sell their weeks on VRBO.

Beautiful place had a ball. Everyone is friendly & accomidating and you feel right at home here. Will return in the future & stay longer. Breakfast is not served here, but there are resturants that are close.

My mom is a Marriott Vacation Club owner, so we have stayed at many of their locations over the years. The units here were clean, modern, and comfortable! I could not hear any noise from neighbors. There were events going on throughout the day, which was nice. My kids loved the various pools and beach access. They also had board games/outdoor games that kept my kids engaged. We would stay there again if we are in the Hilton Head area.

Our annual week at MGO was as always a wonderful week of beautiful views, great food and relaxation. The best resort on the island in my opinion. Bikes are available on site and several pools provide options for your needs. Heated lap pool is available. The beach is wide and spacious with lots of room for whatever your group wants....beach games or quiet sunbathing. Pay for the oceanfront units....they are worth the cost as the breeze and view from your room and balcony are priceless!

We have gone to the Grande Ocean each year for the past 21 years and come for two weeks. The property is always maintained and is refurbished periodically. The rooms are clean when we arrive and there are always the correct number of glasses, cups and utensils. The pool side bar is excellent and the events are well done. Some have limits on the number of participants so you need to sign up early. The pools and hot tubs are really nice, clean and there are plenty of them. The pool side bar is really nice. The beach is great because it gradually slopes into the ocean and there aren't many shells. This makes for nice boogie boarding. We rent bikes at the resort and ride them on the hard sand when the tide is out. The staff is accommodating and if there is an issue they are quick to respond. For example, our ice maker was not working properly and a technician was at the room within 10 minutes of my call and fixed it. The pass to Sea Pines is a nice amenity. This is a very large property with a limited number of rooms directly facing the ocean and owners have priority, as one my expect. You may be a Marriott Bonvoy elite member, but this is not the same as someone who has paid $20,000 plus to own a week or $40,000 plus for two weeks (plus annual taxes and significant maintenance fees). Since the location is great, it can be busy and indoor parking is limited- especially when over-sized vehicles take up spaces and virtually touch both lines. There are few places that are perfect but we enjoy coming here every year.

Just spent a week with my family at the Monarch on Hilton Head. Checked out this morning and checked into the Grand Ocean this afternoon. I stopped by on Thursday and requested a room with a view. The front desk gentlemen that I spoke with must have misunderstood me. We were put in the farthest back building on the 1st floor. I have been an owner in the Monarch in the Azalea building for 35 years. I am also a Platinum Elite member. What gives? No loyalty.

This is a stunning resort to stay for Marriott timeshare and destination points owners. Very popular with fantastic amount of amenities and activities. Right on beautiful beach for walks and bike rides. Fabulous pools and villas are first class
