Hotel is located within walking distance to several fast food restaurants & convenience stores. It is also right next to railroad tracks. Trains run every 2-1/2 hours. Rooms are decorated nicely, beds are VERY firm, keurig coffee, micro/fridge, small 32" flat screen & restaurant room service is available. They charge extra for breakfast which is a negative, especially since their rates are higher than other hotels in the area.

We enjoyed our night here as a stop on the way to NOLA. Easy to find, right in the middle of lots of suburban shopping/fast food. The hotel appears to be new, is nicely appointed and modern. The room, though smallish, was clean and comfortable. It had a cold mini-fridge, microwave, real closet, mirror in main room, desk, desk chair, lounge chair and side table. The bathroom, though small, was clean, with large vanity. Beds were firm but comfortable. Would gladly stay here again.

We had just finished a nightmare drive through Baton Rouge. This is a very clean bright hotel. Like the Keurig coffee maker. Husband used the exercise room. There are train tracks close but they were not busy . Didn't hear any trains after I was asleep. If we ever come through the area again we would stay here.

Great hotel to stay at for any sporting event at Chapapella sports park, 5 minute drive and your there. Plenty food and shopping option right across the street. Clean and comfortable hotel u can’t go wrong here. Tim and Josh even remembered us from our stay 2 weeks ago and do a phenomenal job of making u feel welcome. Hats off to those 2 guys . See y’all again when the spring season starts !!!

After a long drive in torrential rain we got off the very busy highway for the night and were thrilled with our choice of hotel. Clean, modern and very well kept hotel. The hallways were wide , well lit and very tastefully decorated. We experienced excellant customere service in all aspects. From the front desk to the great restaurant inhouse. Room was spacious clean and well appointed. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Excellent front desk staff (Shawna, Tim and Jacob) but no matter day or night shift, all were unbelievably friendly, helpful and courtesy. Family loved staying at this location and definitely will stay again in the future. Our rooms were great, roomy and very clean, beds were comfortable, A/C worked fine and maids service was outstanding during our 7 days. Plus to the trip the kids loved and enjoyed the pool everyday. Overall the best hotel stay!

Regardless of the time of day, whether late at night or early in the morning, the Holiday Inn Hammond staff were incredibly helpful and always providing excellent customer service. Shawn [sic?], Jacob and one other person at the desk whose name I unfortunately cannot remember were cheerful, helpful, looking out to make sure my needs were taken care of, whether it was printing out driving directions to get to a point of destination or making sure my accommodations were more than satisfactory. Great staff! So much so that the rumbling train didn't seem a bother. There is even a note in your room giving a history of the railroad that rumbles by every so often and their willingness to accommodate your request for a room change should the noise prove bothersome. Great customer service!

I work in the area from time to time. I always enjoy staying at this hotel! The staff are friendly and welcoming! Coty at the front desk was so helpful in helping me decide dining for the evening. I opted for a stay in dinner at the hotel for Steak night!! Emily was such a delight as my waitress!! She was attentive and made sure I had extra sauce!! Kelly was great at explaining drink specials. I wanted to know who cooked my amazing ribeye and found out Mike is the bomb dot com chef who mad my meal a great experience! I will visit Holiday Inn Hammond again because the staff here are awesome!!!

I am a business woman who travels A LOT! I had better service at this Holiday Inn then I've had in resorts! Starting at the front desk, Cody was amazing. He printed menu's for us, was kind and even called to see how we liked our room. Decided to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. The service was impeccable from our waitress Emily. She advised me of great selections and make sure my seafood allergy wouldn't be an issue. The food was amazing, they said the chefs name was Michael (he can cook a steak y'all). Oh and I can't forget the bartender. Kelly makes a fabulous Manhattan with the best smile and most bubbly personality. This will be my choice in Hammond from this point forward!

I was traveling with my niece and my sister, upon arriving at the holiday inn in Hammond we were greeted by a sweet young girl, although not very competent. She checked us in only giving us one key card. We had 3 people to our one room, so we requested 2 more after unpacking. 30 minutes or so passed and still no keycard. Eventually I myself went down to retrieve them and they were not ready. It only took a few seconds, not the point. Our room was alright, the bathtub had some stains. The room itself was somewhat warm at times, but NOTHING compared to the hallways. We stayed on the 4th floor, and every time we went anywhere we ended up being drenched in sweat. We decided to eat at the restaurant that night for dinner... unfortunately our experience was less than satisfactory. We all ordered burgers well done. They ALL came back burnt, not well done. We had had a VERY long day, you never know what people are dealing with when they walk into your hotels doors. This was just the icing on the cake for our terrible day. Our waitress Adare (who told us at the beginning she was training) did absolutely everything she could to make our dinner, and day improve. We sent the burgers back and we were quickly given new plates, with burgers that weren't burnt. She spoke to us about our day and did her best to console us, and even brought us cheesecake, which shortly thereafter she boxed up for us. We did not want to continue our dinner there. We were all having a terrible day and the ENTIRE hotel experience did not help. Not to mention at least two items we asked for "the kitchen was out of." Once we received our "second" plates the food was good.
