The roof top was not open and was not told about this when booking. It was one of the MAIN reasons we booked it.
Very noisy at night. Music from Legasea Bar overwhelmed the third floor bedrooms until midnight. Many complaints from customers but they would not move us to a quiet floor. Staff was very friendly but did not have enough knowledge of the property. I expected a small room but they are tiny.
This was my 2nd time at Moxy and it didn’t disappoint. It’s got a cool vibe about it that I love. The smell… yea the smell, it’s wonderful!!!! I even bought a candle. It’s right around the corner from two major subway stops and Macys. Great location!
Small ny rooms. I bit like a college dorm room so if you’re not in your 20’s, you may want to look elsewhere.
This room has everything you need (and nothing you don't). Cozy, comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet. A good deal for the price relative to other options.

Great place to stay! However, pack earplugs. Right off Broadway and close to Madison Square Garden, so lots of street noise all night long. But still a FANTASTIC place to stay. Wonderful and friendly staff. Great NY diner around the corner (Andrew's). Super clean and access to an amazing rooftop bar with a killer view of Empire State.

Really liked this hotel but unfortunately ended up leaving at 1am and getting a new hotel due to the rooftop club. We stayed in room 1520 (15th floor) and I’m pretty sure this room is directly under the DJ booth. The music was so loud it was impossible to sleep. We called to try and switch rooms but they mentioned that the hotel was booked solid and by the time they called me back to switch rooms I had already booked the second hotel. To avoid this from happening to you, I’d call and request a room on a bottom floor. Other than this issue, we really did like the hotel. Great food, drink and atmosphere. Unfortunate that we had to leave due to the noise.
- Bed made only with fitted sheet, no top sheet. We had to request 2nd sheet and add it ourselves. When cleaning team came after our 2nd night, they remade bed same incorrect way, with only bottom sheet. Again we had to remake. - Safe in room didn't work. - Compact room with good location, nice hooks to hang things, nice portable table/chair and desk. Good use of space in small room. - Had $30 per day to use at hotel restaurant/bar. Good morning coffee that was free. Bar wouldn't make any fancy non-alcoholic cocktails which is unfortunate.
