Beautiful gulf front 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home on the far west end of Dauphin Island. This is the first floor of a 2 story home. The house can be rented as a 4 bedroom, or as a 6 bedroom. If you rent it at the 4 bedroom rate, the top floor will remain locked (and will not be rented out during your stay). This is a great opportunity to rent the amount of space you need!

This house has a large gulf front deck, kitchen with a breakfast bar, dining area and living room. There is a gulf front master bedroom with a queen bed. 2nd bedroom has a full. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have a duo bunk ( double on the bottom and single on top. The views from the gulf front deck are unmatched for sunrise and unobstructed view of sunsets, any time of the year. There is a gas grill on the gulf front deck. The deck has both covered and uncovered areas to enjoy the views. Great gulf fishing off your private seawall. If you have a larger group add the second level to this listing to sleep 14.

As with all of our Dauphin Island homes, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. Everything you need for a great beach vacation is here.

Great location

Property is in a great location. Especially for fishing the west end beach. Also, some of the best sunset views you will find anywhere. We caught a ton of fish and had some great dolphin sightings up close to the house. One nagging issue is the constant tresspassers that appear underneath the house to fish. The seawall that runs along the house is a favorite local fishing spot and the tresspassers can get pretty bold. Constantly asking tresspassers to leave detracted from the relaxation a bit. Other than that we really appreciated the location and proximty to the west end beach. Which is one of the best beaches on the gulf. The layout of the house was nice with great views of the water. The kitchen is large and well equipped with pots/pans and utensils. There are also plenty of bathrooms. There is some wear and tear on the house that could use some upkeep but its all minor paint and patch type stuff. The vinyl soffit cladding on the exterior, especially underneath the house is having a rough go of it. Be careful not to get hit by a piece of falling vinyl if the wind picks up, all other issues are cosmetic. Last gripe is that the grill was completely out of propane when we went to use it. And also the automatic lock on the door has a mind of its own. Sounds like a lot of gripes but really you cant beat the location and overall the place is nice. Would recommend, especially if the trespassing issue can be brought under control.

Amazing views!!

If you’re looking to be close to the ocean- look no further. This is it. Great house and location. The beach is just beyond the front door and the ocean is out the back.

The property would be great if it was clean. It needs some upkeep. For instance the microwave was cracked down the door. It is also roach infested!

Amazing location

This was the perfect location for me. Last house on west end of island. Farther west was nothing but sand and beach. Lots of shells to rummage through. I found a moon snail shell. It was a big find for me. The house sit on the ocean edge. Just what I was looking for. The waves crashing at night provided the most amazing sleep.

The listing gives the impression that it is beachfront. These pictures are old and need to be updated for accuracy. We walked over to the public beach as it was the closest that was safe. Porch is a great size but the house is in need of several repairs inside and out. We enjoyed our stay and the view can’t be beat. It was absolutely gorgeous!

The view is worth it all!! Some minor maintenance tasks that could be completed - door handle on outside of slider needs reattached, little things like that. Overall, a great place to stay

Once in a lifetime mother, daughters getaway could not have been any more perfect!! Clean. Quiet. Exactly as described, with the addition of dolphins. Exactly what these Missouri girls needed.
