The Belvedere Hotel

A very nice place to stay.

I've stayed there for 6 straight years. It is a perfect location for me. Close to but with less traffic than Times Square. Near great restaurants and transportation but with much affordable food nearby. Most of the staff except the the main desk and billing and reservation people seem to remember repeat customers. They could do much better in identifying the regulars. They have also instituted a facility fee that was separate from the price quoted in Orbitz although they said it was in the fine print. There were additional taxes before but nothing that exceeded $20 per day. I would not have minded them charging for internet access so much if I had not needed to get a password on 3 different occasions. I will probably stay there again but will pay much closer attention to the price and look for fees in the fine print.

Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Upper East Side

Good choice for UES

The only aspect of the room I wish could be changed is the air-con unit. It’s much too noisy and must stay on constantly to maintain the desired temperature, which was not the lowest setting by any means. It’s a very small room for two (king size bed).

Great experience, and I will come back again!

Love this hotel so much. I have a great time staying with my boyfriend here, and we decided to live here whenever we travel to New York! Love this place!

Hudson New York

Generally good; Great midtown Manhattan location.

Very good location; and generally good hotel in terms of cleanliness and decor. Was a bit slow to bring a refrigerator (said it would be 10-15 minutes, but took almost an hour). In addition, the hotel tacks on $29+tax per night for a facility fee -- or about $34/night -- which adds to the already expensive NYC rates. That fee is in addition to the Orbitz pre-paid room rate.
