You will fly from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, which is located between Dallas and nearby Fort Worth. You can drive to the airport and leave your car in one of the ten parking facilities, where prices range from $8 per day for parking furthest from the terminals to $25 for valet parking. You can call a taxi to take you from any point in the Dallas area to the airport, and the airport is well served by public transportation. A trip on the DART commuter rail train to the airport costs $3.50, and there is a free shuttle from a nearby DART station to the airport. DART also runs bus routes 310 and 408 to the airport for $1.75. Once you arrive at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, you can enjoy anything from a cup of coffee or a fast-food hamburger to a Mexican or Asian meal at one of the many cafés and restaurants inside the airport.
When your flight lands at Newark Liberty International Airport, you can pick up a rental car by taking the free AirTrain airport terminal shuttle to one of seven rental car facilities. If you did not book a car in advance through Orbitz.com, you can choose a car as soon as you arrive. You can also get a cab to central Newark for $15 to $18. The AirTrain will also connect you with New Jersey Transit trains and buses to Newark and other area destinations. The weather in Newark ranges from lows of 24°F and highs of 38°F in January to highs of 85°F and lows of 69°F in July. Rain is moderate but steady throughout the year, so be prepared with an umbrella when you visit Branch Brook Park or Military Park. You’ll want to see the beautiful architecture of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart as well as the Newark Museum.
