I was traveling for work and wanted to stay near the airport so I liked the location, the breakfast was good, the pool is nice, I liked the bed and the pillows, the room and the smell of the hotel. Everything was fine in my stay. Will stay here again soon.
Although clean and new I found this hotel very disappointing. It is in the middle of nowhere. Nowhere nearby are restaurants or shops so you are just stuck there. It would not be so bad but the restaurant was pathetic. Worst menu I have ever seen. Restaurant staff do not speak English. Food was extremely basic, was disgusting barley edible. Per packed and heated in microwave. Breakfast very average. The place was very sterile and unwelcoming. I was asked to leave my passport at reception in exchange for a towel for the pool?? Pool water was so hot I could not even get in. The toilet in our room did not flush. The view from our window was a building site. I booked this hotel to be near the airport and they advertised free shuttle service. I tried to contact hotel via e-mail to pre book shuttle, but no direct e-mail. You can only call them, so I called from the airport but told you need to book shuttle 24 hours in advance. It cost US$40 to go there from the airport for a 9 min drive. There was only one good thing about our room - there were USB ports to charge up your tech devices. I would never stay here again and do not recommend.
The rason why we picked this hotel is because they offer free transportation shuttle to the airport, wich is a great thing due to the high cost of taxis there. Staff are amazing and breakfast was good.
Great place for an overnight stay. We arrived late to CUN and the hotel provided everything needed for the short stay: transport (arrange in advance), smooth check in, help with luggage, clean comfortable room, very good breakfast in the Morning. The hotel has a nice pool area - we did not use it. Overall a great airport hotel.
From the airport the nasty local taxis seem to have a monopoly - they charged MX$287 (currently c. £12) per person to the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly, and there was free wifi (but unsecured). The large hotel room was provided with a TV and a small safe. There was a good bathroom with shower & free toiletries. Breakfast was included, plus a free taxi back to the airport. The dining menu was limited but adequate. The hotel has a large open-air swimming pool at the back.
This is a new hotel, not sure when it opened, but our room smelled new (In a good way). The room was excellent. Clean, new, and MOST importantly, the bed was to die for. We stayed the night prior to departure, after having an extremely noisy hotel in Playa Del Carmen. The bed, along with the quiet, was just what we wanted. The staff were very friendly, and communication was decent. We were issued one room card, which was no big deal, but it wasn’t explained to us that the elevator REQUIRES a room card to operate. I went down to the lobby without it, and was unable to get back to the room. One of the staff used his master to enable it for me. This needs addressed, as another time I had the card, and it wouldn’t work. Same staff member tried his master and IT didn’t work. Had to use the stairs, which hey, I need the cardio anyway, but what if I’d been disabled? Again, this hotel is very new and maybe they are still working out the kinks, but the card always worked on our door, so there’s a problem with the keycard reader in the elevator. The food.... OK. I will try and be diplomatic here. It was not great. We are not picky eaters. We each had chicken breast on chiobata and split an order of fries, a coke, and a JD on the rocks. Bill was $35. That would have been ok if the sandwiches were stellar. They were not. They were nuked. We know this because we watched them nuke them. Which woulda been fine if, say the result was like reheated Panera or Deli type sandwiches. The bread was brick hard, and the chicken breast was not great. Fries were good. Server was friendly. Bill was way too high for what we received. Drastic improvement in quality needed here. The breakfast, while free with the stay, was not the best. Maybe cultural differences, not sure. Hot food was not hot. Cold eggs. Coffee was hot and juice was good. Pineapple was good. I hate throwing food away, as it’s a waste, but couldn’t eat the eggs. Finally, a large factor for us booking here was the FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE. Back home, “shuttle” indicates frequent arrivals and departures. From other reviews we read here, and our own experience, this is another point that needs work. We check out at 1 pm today. While down at breakfast, (at 9am), my wife went to the front desk to check on the shuttle schedule. She was told that they needed 3 hours notice to arrange pickup, with the receptionist seemingly implying that this was not possible. We are 4 miles from the airport. It is 4 HOURS before checkout. We could LITERALLY walk to the airport, dragging luggage, in under that time. Unacceptable. To thrive as an airport satellite hotel, the shuttle service needs to be 100% reliable. I would suggest that every new guest is asked upon check-in if they have airport shuttle requirements so that no one misses a plane. Pool was nice. Property is nice. Room was great. People were nice. Food needs work. Shuttle service needs work. Elevator needs to function properly. GREAT, SOFT BED!! Keep working. You can get there.
We stayed there for one Night before going to Tulum. The City Express Plus is a new hotel and looked very modern. First of all the receptionists english was very bad and he was very unorganized. The room was modern and clean but we needed to go down to let activate the wifi which does not worked first. We arrived late at the hotel so we ordered some food of the Restaurant ( even there are no Restaurants nearby). This food was so bad but they treated it like a gourmet diner. Breakfast was pretty bleak. The hot food was not edible and the service was not very friendly. After breakfast we asked for a Taxi to the Airport to get our rental car. The price was absolutly expensive, almost 20€ for a 6km ride. And you do not have any other options. So choose another Airport Hotel if you need one.
This is a clean hotel with a nice breakfast, beautiful interior and Georgia’s pool. The pool is understated in the pictures. It is beautiful and there are luxurious places to sit all around the pool. We had trouble with the airport shuttle - make sure you have talked to the hotel ahead and are told exactly what to look for. I wasn’t impressed with how management handled this but overall we were very happy with our stay here
Upon ending an awful travel delay with our airline not helping us locate a hotel, we were brought by taxi to the City Express Plus. The hotel is brand new - pristine condition, pleasant and efficient staff (it had been a long day), the room service food as well as the breakfast served was tasty and plentiful. There is a nice pool, gym, great internet connection, space for sitting and business centre. It was close to the airport - yet not noisy at all. I would certainly recommend this hotel - and we were thankful for their kindness as they organized a shuttle for us back to airport.
I booked this place as i was getting in late and thought it would be stress-free but i really regret it! No one showed up at the airport to pick me up as agreed so after waiting for an hour i got in my own cab (at rip off airport price) to go 9 mins drive to the hotel. I was angry and tired so went straight up to my room after check in, but the wifi didnt work until i asked them to enable it for me. I arranged a transfer via them for the next morning which was over 30% more expensive than my friend paid for the same and our return leg. Breakfast was pretty bleak; the hot food was pretty inedible. Don't stay here, for the same price there are tons of better options
