The Economy Inn on RT# 35 S Belmar NJ is the most disgusting motel I have ever stayed at ! The first room we had stunk of cigarette smoke and had towels for one person, and they were dirty and stained.The second room they gave us was filthy. The microwave and fridge have not been cleaned in months.The bathroom was filthy, the shower curtain was all yellow on the bottom.The drain had dirt on it and black mold.I found an old water bottle behind the bathroom door that was so dirty it must have been there for a very long time. We let the water run to get some hot water, 15 minutes later still no hot water.The entrance door to each room showed signs of being broken in at some time, not repaired.The TV had very few channels to view and ALL channels would not come in clear, all snowy pictures. Toilet paper sitting on top of the toilet tank, no holder mounted anywhere. When I asked for more and clean towels for two people they didn't even have enough to give me. They are all stained and look terrible.This is without a doubt the worst hotel/motel I have ever seen!! I could not stay the second night because of all this so I asked for a refund for the next night. Three days later it is still not posted to my bank as credit. The original charge went thru in five minutes.Wall township board of Health should shut this place down immediately !!
Never mind about what I liked; there was piss on the toilet seat, the hot water did not work so I could not shower, and the sink was dirty. What's to like?
