Really happy we picked this place, very reasonably priced for all you get. The happy hour to breakfast were great and our room is so nice!! Will be staying here again next time we’re in town. Plus the location is perfect!! Close to all the sights.

convenient, responsive staff, great Happy Hour and Breakfast included. Parking not a bonus.... expensive at $36/day.... and not known until booking complete. great rooms and beds. having the living area is totally the bonus, and totally worth the $$

Most everything was great. The room was as advertised. My biggest complaint is how absolutely filthy the elevators were. Not that big of a deal as we were hardly in them. But they could easily make that right.

The lobby area was spacious to gather with family & guest. The check in staff was courteous & informative. No bell hop service offered so plan of having to check in, the leave to the building next door to leave your car in a parking garage with very dirty elevators & no obvious security cameras or security officers. Then plan on carrying all your stuff & fam next door, slightly up the street to enter a side door and make your way to your room. The rooms smell moldy & musty. The carpets are brown and should be yanked out/replaced with tile that can at least be mopped after every rental. Our sofa bed had hidden stains in the cushions that could pass as either dark chocolate or old blood :(. The furniture was in dire need of furniture marker touch ups and furniture polish. The previous attempts of touch up remodels in the room/restrooms were evidently done by a non-experienced handy man. I am disappointed that the hotel chain owners/managers don’t do quality control walk throughs consistently to address unsightly craftsmanship like this. Paint in the bathroom had spray over on the edges and grout was “smeared” on some tile spots. I stayed with my family in this Austin Downtown hotel thinking that the brand was quality based but boy we’re we in for a surprise. Good thing we checked in on Friday night & left Sunday morning. The stay was so short that leaving and finding a different hotel would have imposed on our entire family graduation. We were 6 families with children.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. I stayed there for 6 nights while I was attending a conference at the Austin Conference Center. This hotel was an easy 10-15 walk to the conference center. The breakfast buffet was great and also included an omelet bar where a chef makes you an omelet to order. There was also a happy hour each evening with snacks and free drinks (beer, wine, and cocktails). I also liked that this hotel was very close to the running/biking trails that go along the river and provide a safe place for exercise. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay near the downtown Austin.

This hotel was in a great location. The only thing that was not ideal was that the garage was not attached to the hotel.

very attentive staff from the desk to the button

The property was out dated but the Staff was over the top excellent.

Overall, very nice rooms and a good value. They had a lovely free breakfast, and gave coupons for wine and beer during happy hour. There was a daily $36 charge for parking which I was not aware of at the time of booking. The only negative was that the indoor pool was closed for repairs. It was a really nice place and in an amazing location. We were able to walk everywhere.

This hotel was great. It was in a great location, walk-able to downtown restaurants and bars and the Congress bridge where the bats come out. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was good and offered a lot including an omelet station. Rooms were a great size and comfortable bed; just needs a little updating but nothing serious. Would definitely recommend.

Great trip

Really nice location and accommodations were awesome. Manager’s special keeps me coming back.

The air conditioning didn’t work in September !!

I wish the pool was 24 hours like the ftness room

I have been coming to embassy suites with my family since I was a kid. We loved the breakfast and my parents enjoyed the happy hour. Since then, I’ve always chosen to stay at embassy suites because it was always such a treat when I stayed there as a kid and has always been one of my favorite hotels. This is the first time I’ve been since covid and I was excited about the happy hour only to find that I only get 2 drink vouchers and a choice of either beer or wine in cups that are not even remotely the size of a small glass of wine. The breakfast used to be amazing with made to order omelets and pancakes. This breakfast was absolutely unsatisfactory. Though there was opportunity to fill your plate/plates, the food was not at all what I expected or what was advertised. The parking cost $33 to walk behind the hotel and up 4 flights of stairs in 98 degree humid, Texas heat with an injured knee because the elevator was out of order. I woke up sweating even though the air conditioner was set to 64. House keeping came in waking up my fiancé at 9am when check out isn’t until 11. I was immensely upset to have spent my money here and do not intend on returning.

We stayed the weekend, but didn't get our room turned on Saturday, at all. We had to call to request fresh towels. We saw trash items left outside the door of other rooms that were not picked up timely.

They got rid of the actual happy hour and now you get two small tea cups of beer. Breakfast was far below standard but could be because of Covid. Staff, as always , was really great!

Great place to stay, close to everything.

The Embassy Suites in downtown Austin is an excellent place to relax & recharge as you stay close to the many entertainment & historical sites in Austin.
