We traveled down to Houston for my 13 month old boy & daughter (twins), because baby boy was having a surgery. After the surgery I was dropped off by my wife at a local event where I was working for a few hours and she took our reservation number as my credit card to the hotel to check in. The babies were tired and hungry and ready to rest, when my wife arrived to check in, the line was long which I understand I not the hotels fault, but she waited there 30 mins to check in, the babies were fussy and when she arrived at the counter the hotel clerk refused to check her in bc she could not provide ID for my card, which was in my wallet, and refused to get a manager upon request for an exception. She left crying with the babies in the lobby, a bell captain finally asked if everything was okay & she explained, she was attempting to change the babies in the lobbies without disrupting his recent surgery area and provide medicine to him (Antibiotis), the bell hop got a mgr to see her, she finally made an exception and conveyed no sympathy in tone, in the room it was very dirty. Our babies crawled on the floor and were covered in black nasty dirt, they prob never vacuumed and the bathroom was barely stocked with toiletries that you would expect from a hotel, no lotion, mouthwash, etc (just one bar of soap for shower and sink, with shampoo & conditioner). This place basically was equivalent that evening to a roadside motel.

Horrible! They stole my money! I would never book again

A good experience. Nicely furnished, clean rooms.

Highly recommended! Very comfortable rooms and beds! Super clean!

The bed, sheets and couch were absolutely amazing. No microwaves, and no late checkout made me wonder about service. M

I love the beds. The hotel staff was very friendly.

We were in Austin for a wedding, the Renaissance was an excellent choice. We were walking distance to shopping and dining, and easy driving to see the sights. We had a lovely stay.

Excellent. Friendly efficient staff. Easy access to shopping and restaurants and near our family gathering. Rooms large, nicely furnished, clean, comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Melissa checked me in and immediately upgraded me to an Executive Suite with a beautiful view. What a wonderful surprise! She was friendly and genuinely helpful. I love the convenient fruit and herb flavored water available at the door. I love that you can park just out in front of the hotel at no extra charge. The atrium is breathtaking and inspiring. I always feel that I have travelled to some exotic place when staying here. I live in Austin, but stay at Rennaissance when I need a pampering retreat.

I always try to stay here when visiting Austin in one of their signature suites. They are a tad on the expensive side but but the luxury received is worth the money. I highly recommend to any and all

I have stayed here in the past and will do so again. This hotel is a cut above the rest

Family reunion. Everyone was pleased. Staff was young, but attentive. Would stay there again.

the hotel has been there for awhile, but i just discovered it. it's directly down the street from my father's home and easy to get back and forth from his home. we stayed christmas eve, and the staff was alert, friendly, and welcoming even though they had to work. there is a lovely lobby area, and the room are large and bed very comfortable. we'll stay there again.

Our stay was very comfortable. Staff are awesome and friendly. We've made it a tradition to stay here on Thanksgiving nite. Never disappointed.

I stayed at the Renaissance when on a business trip to Austin. The rooms and bathrooms are large and set up very nicely and were very comfortable. The fitness center and pool, located in the lower levels of the hotel, are really nice too, with their own outdoor decks. You can walk to the mall next door from the hotel, through a little park. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. My only peeve about my stay will have to be the sound that echoes up into the rooms from the atrium below, but that's just the architecture and honestly did not affect my stay very much. I'd definitely stay here again!

The staff was amazing. Everyone was nice and super accommodating. The hotel was clean and the restaurant had good food. The servers were nice and professional. My room was nice, but I wish it didn't face the central indoor courtyard (it can get loud.) The valet was quick and courteous. The only cons: no free high-speed WiFi and the location is VERY far from downtown.

Hotel Staff was exceptional. Very responsive to my inquires. They were as accommodating as they could be. Customer Service was excellent

The hotel was very nice and clean. It located outside of downtown Austin but is convieniently located. We were 10-15 minutes drive from anywhere we needed to go. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed everything about this stay.

Had my parents and aunt stay for the weekend. They said beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms are very roomy and the decor is beautiful. Even though the hotel was busy, they had no noise issues. Check in staff were polite. The bell hop was wonderful, extremely helpful and friendly which I greatly appreciated with getting my parents and elderly aunt in and out of the car in the very cold weather! Breakfast was just okay. I would be happy to have them stay again, since they said they enjoyed their stay immensely.

Stayed here on business, I loved the location of the hotel and the staff at the check in where nice, but the housecleaning staff really disappointed. They didn't clean the coffee maker, I spilled some coffee grounds on the floor and they didn't bother to clean vacuum it up, they kept forgetting to replenish items (didn't leave me coffee cups, conditioner, etc. after they were used up). My AC was broken on arrival, took them 2 days to fix, and I was very uncomfortable those first two days. I would stay here again and give it another chance, but it was extremely disappointing since all the reviews were mostly positive for this place.
