Crowne Plaza Atlanta - Midtown

I was in town for a few nights and the staff was able to make accommodations to a few changes that needed to be made to my room without any problem at all. Lakisha at the front desk was super nice and helped me out with extending my stay a few hours after my flight got delayed. Can't thank them enough and highly recommend it!

I recently stay at the Crown Plaza Midtown Atlanta for the July Gift Market. This was one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in. The halls are nasty and have a terrible smell. They did not clean our room or give us clean coffee cubs or glasses. The only way we received clean towels is when we asked for them. One day our beds were not even made. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

As I walked into the Hotel I was welcomed with a warm smile from Lakisha T. I arrived a bit early, but she was able to check me into the first available room, which exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I only stayed one night and will definitely return again.

The Crown Plaza is convenient to restaurants and attractions such as the Aquarium/ Coke Museum/CNN and shopping. Its a good value for the money with its large closet, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed. Toilet/shower separate from sink area. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean upon arrival, but a bit lacking on the housekeeping during our stay. The Crown Plaza has nice amenities such as free wifi, fitness center and pool. There is a bar and restaurant within the hotel that we did not use, There is also a counter cafe' located in the hotel if you would like a fast breakfast. The coffee and bagels are reasonably priced. The bagels and muffins were fresh in the morning and the coffee was hot. Nice variety of coffee and latte'. If you have never stayed in a hotel in Atlanta, you should be aware the room tax is 20 percent.

Visited the CP Midtown for 4 nights as ending a road trip around the Southern States. Having stayed at IHG hotels worldwide I knew the service would be up to high standards but this stay was phenomenal :) Lakisha (front desk) made sure that my wife and I had the best service possible. She ensured the room met and exceeded our expectations, helped with travelling arrangements in Atlanta and just went that extra mile to make this IHG stay for us the best ever. It's a busy hotel, so be prepared the 4 elevators do take some time to reach you. Will definitely be back.

Nice older hotel, good service and room was very clean. The option of the parking deck although not affiliated with the hotel was good to have, was attached by an enclosed over street walkway. Valet was $30 a day...to much! Is very convenient to marta station and The Varsity. We also walked a few blocks over and found Fox Theater and a VERY good gastro pup, several small shops and a very nice park. Would definitely stay here again. The rooftop pool was very nice but was not open for the season yet.

We stayed here three nights as part of a large hobby group booking. The first two nights were uneventful though street noise was a major problem even for deep sleepers. The windows and sealed patio door have no insulation. On the third day we came back to the hotel at 3:00 PM after a long and tiring outing. The room was not made up. We called the desk to complain and were told that the room would be made up immediately. By 3:20 PM the room was still not made up. We tried calling the desk again and the hotel phone did not work. We went down to the main desk and corralled the hotel manage. We demanded and received a new room. There was a group meeting the next morning and most of our group had similar experiences with their rooms.

Our room was very nice. We paid extra for a "quiet" room (something about how the bed is positioned and some noise reducing padding in the headboard). We could still hear street noise, but not nearly as bad as when we stayed in the Staybridge Suites (another IHG hotel in the same building). Our room was very clean and this hotel is convenient to midtown restaurants and bars. My only complaint is that our room smelled very heavily of some kind of perfume or carpet cleaner. The smell was not overpowering, but it was stronger than I liked, and I wonder if it was used to cover up something else.

I never liked this property much in the past, but now after the refurb it's a new favorite. The staff are fresh, friendly and proficient, the rooms are clean and modern and the beds are sooo good to sleep on; as are the duck down feather pillows. The guest services follow up with texts to check in the enjoyment of the stay is a nice touch. Cocktails and food at the bar at night are great and the convenience of the snack shop and coffee bar are super! Location for midtown is perfect - we walked to the Atlanta utd game at GT in 10 minutes. This hotel is a new favorite of mine!

I led our group to stay at this hotel from June 28 through July 4. At our peak from July 1 to 4, we had 34 rooms booked. As the tour director. I had absolutely outstanding treatment. Unlike any other hotel, Lakisha at the front desk daily texted me to check up of I needed anything. We had an informal dinner on July 1, banquet on July 2 and speaker programs on July 1 and 3 that went flawlessly. Make sure to ask for a room with a city view. My room was outstanding showing the city skyline. The pool has great outdoor furniture and view of the city. Housekeeping kept linens in our room changed daily. The staff for me was exceptionally friendly and well organized. The above being said, the reason I gave this hotel a 4 rather than a 5 are scattered problems from about 4 to 5 of the group 33 rooms booked: 1. Rooms and linen not cleaned or vacuumed until very late or not at all. Some of these asked for room changes which were promptly granted. 2. Linens not changed or in one case left with soiled linens. 3. This being an urban hotel, noises from ambulances and motorcycles disturbed some of our guests. I love on a mains street in Brooklyn, NY so noise is. It an issue as log as the AC is strong and powerful (it is). The above being said, the hotel rooms are very nice and up to date and the staff aim very hard to please. Housekeeping can be an issue st this hotel and while it wasn't for me, future guests should speak up not hold in if they have problem. The hotel is half block to. The Airport metro and one block form the iconic Varsity drive-in. So this hotel is a highly recommended stay, just watch housekeeping services carefully and report problems immediately.
