We stayed here to crash out for one night after our transatlantic flight. It was ok - comfortable bed in a reasonable size room. Breakfast was not included and the non-cooked buffet was adequate - the cooked buffet didn't appeal.
I came here with my other half for our friends’ wedding. The hospitality here is of the upmost honorable. They really care about the satisfaction of the customers. Tiffany at the front desk was friendly and assured that we were accommodated with great service. From the front door valet was ready to assist with our bags and valet parking. The environment is more than clean and welcoming from entrance to hotel room. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the rooms and the towels and sheets were very clean. The rooms are quiet but I slept very well with the complimentary sleep kit and white noise IHG App features. I really appreciate the consideration taken as there were TempleSpa packages specifically for therapeutic resting: Massage cream, Soothing balm for aching feet and limbs, and Calming mist. That’s exactly what I needed after multiple hours of traveling. We ordered In-room dining for Breakfast: Salmon Omelettes. Wow! I defined recommend them they were delicious ! Last but most importantly the beds were amazingly comfortable. Thank you IHG and Tiffany (at the front desk) for a wonderful experience!
e usually stay in Hilton properties, so I was expecting that same standard. Were here for 5 nights and at times the maid service was not up to par. Coffee supplies didn't get replenished and we had to ask for more several times. The valet service was a nightmare. I understand that is a separate company, but it needs some revision.
I see there are mixed reviews here so I can only give you my experience as a frequent business traveler. The lobby seems very nice upon arrival and the front desk staff was pleasant so first impression was good. I was there as part of a large group from our company for a three night stay with meetings held on the 25th floor. The view from 25th floor is amazing. The housekeeping service is where it totally goes wrong with this hotel. Upon check in, I found the bathroom floors were sticky, there was hair in the tub/shower and sink. The second day, housekeeping didn't come until around 6:30 - 7:00 pm. One of the hand towels they placed had a red stain on it and amenities such as coffee and shampoo weren't replaced. Floor was still sticky. The third night they came around 7:00 pm after I heard the housekeeper in the next room for 20 minutes beating something repeatedly against the wall, playing loud music. While leaving I found two housekeeping staff lounging and listening to music by the elevators. Again, no replaced amenities even though I had purposely placed a used coffee pod in front of the coffee maker so it would be seen. They PLACED IT BACK ON THE TRAY TO BE RE-USED!! The bed was half-done like the covers had just been pulled back up with wrinkles everywhere and the top not folded properly. I had to go downstairs and get coffee because at this point I was not happy in the least. There were stains on the common area carpeting as well as the room carpets. If they could get their housekeeping and facilities staff up to par then it has the potential to be a nice Midtown hotel but I wouldn't stay here again.
Great corporate hotel very friendly and efficient check in. All information was processed correctly pre-payment etc which usually is problematic. Great room service selection delivered very quickly. Location wise it is little off downtown however most of my meetings were outside that zone. Clean spacious rooms with efficient lighting and concierge service was very prompt when assisting with directions
I recently stayed here in the King standard room with a city view. The best part about the room was the view of the Mercedes Benz Stadium lit at night. The room was very large. It had a couch and desk with coffee table. The bed was not comfortable, but the pillows were. The sheets and towels were thin. The water pressure and rain style shower head was great. The breakfast buffet was hot and good. The breakfast was basic nothing fancy, just a good start for the morning. Overall, this wouldn’t be my first choice in Atlanta to stay but I would choose this over any motel.
Upon arrival the hotel seemed fairly nice. The first room I was in 1020, the light fixtures in the lavatory had no covers, a rodent ran across the opening in the ceiling and I called to tell them. They switched my room to 804 and it seemed somewhat better. For this they offered me vouchers for breakfast, however the one that they provided for the day of was already invalid when they gave them to me and would not allow me to use them for lunch, breakfast ended at 11:am, I got the voucher at 12:30pm. I did not want anyone in my room so therefor I put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, on the 3rd day of my four day stay, I left the room for about 3 hours that morning and came back to the room around Noon and the door to my room was wide opened. All of my belongings still in the room and no one could explain to me why the door was ajar and whom had been in the room and why they entered the room when clearly the DO NOT DISTURB sign was on the door. They sent security, but I did not get a follow-up as to the why and who it was. Lastly, on the final night of my stay, I had to be up at 4:30am, I decided to turn in early, only to be awakened at about 9:30pm to what seemed to a drag race until 3:00am. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst experience eer.
My wife and I stayed here Friday night. We had tickets to seen Charlie Daniels and Alabama. The hotel is nice and 2 blocks west and two blocks south of the Fox theater. A very easy walk. There was some morning construction noise!
Location and ease of getting off and on the interstate was GREAT. Checking in was an ease other than the confusion of the valet parking - took 20 min for them to take the car. The room was comfortable but it was the wrong sized bed. We needed a queen and got a full. Other than that, no problems with the room or the decor of the hotel. Actually looks nice and looks like they are still working on it. We did not use any other services while there. I will say, the looks on the faces of the employees is that they are battling an uphill battle. They know what the reviews are like and they know the level of service they have to deliver. It is like they just are not equipped (i.e.trained) to deliver it. Part of me feels like it is a 'pay' issue. Midtown Atl hotels usually have exceptional service by people that emit pride in what they do, in my experience, and are employees thankful for what they are getting paid. [notice I didn't say happy, I said thankful] Didn't get that feeling at the Crowne. [Back to the valet parking] Here is the deal, it is $33 / night. The hotel has a parking garage that is $15-20 per night. The garage is on the other end of the block. Most public and private parking in the area is $25-30 per night. So, the price is about right. Problem is the service. If you are getting valet parking at the Crowne for reasons of saving energy, and your not in a rush, it works. If you are doing it for time and convenience, it is not worth it. You can walk to the garage and be in you car in 7-10min. Valet parking will take 10 min of calling them to bring your car [they never answer] or 10min to get their attention just to get the process going. Then, you will sit for 10-15min before your car shows up. When you wonder up to get into the car, it is another 5-10min to get your keys and drive away. It all makes for a situation where the only tip you want to leave is, "good luck". I would have stayed elsewhere but nothing was available in my price range in the vicinity. If price point is the issue as to why you would consider this hotel, I'd say paying another $50 will make you more satisfied. Again, the location was good. There are plenty of places to eat in the area and on your walk to the Fox Theatre. Walking in the area looks OK as long there are plenty of people on the streets, or it is light out. Could be a little bit of a risk otherwise. I was tempted to give a "2" out of 5, but it was overall a good trip and IF cornered, I would stay at the Crowne again. (hoping for a little better experience).
We stopped here on our way to Florida. The front desk receptionist Liz was most helpful and polite. I called down later that night and got someone different and asked for a late check-out. I was told 12 was the latest i could get but then called back the next morning and Marsha was very considerate and gave me until 1. Everyone was nice! Hotel was beautiful.
