She sent someone to get it and when we were seated and ready to go, another attendant held up the back pack and said "Does anyone recognize this cute little sparkly backpack?" Had to check my bag at the gate due to overhead storage bins being full. Was not able To retrieve it at the gate after the flight and had to go to baggage claim. Would of been nice to get it at the gate, since I had a knee injury and had to walk more than I intended to.

I am NOT happy that American Airlines is off terminal at LAX. You have to wait in a long line to board a shuttle bus in order to get to the remote terminal. It adds 30 minutes to your check-in time.
