How do I watch movies on United Airlines?
You’ll be able to watch free movies and/or television shows on overhead displays on many United flights. Some flights have rolled out new seatback entertainment systems, but not all, so check the information for your plane. You can also kick back with your own personal device and use United Private Screening on select planes. Download the United app and click over to the entertainment section to watch their free onboard collection of movies and TV shows.
Will my United flight have Wi-Fi?
Good news: All of United’s main aircraft have Wi-Fi. The only aircraft that don’t offer Wi-Fi are those going to and from Guam. If your flight has Wi-Fi, you’ll see the Wi-Fi icon on the plane to the right of the door as you board. Need to know before you go? Check your flight status on United.com or in the app, and it will be listed under the amenities section.
Do you get food on United flights?
When you fly United, you’ll be provided with at least complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. On North American, Caribbean, and most Latin American flights, you’ll sip on sodas and snack on pretzels free of charge. You can also buy additional drinks, snack boxes and meals from the flight attendant—just be sure to bring your debit card. If you are flying to or from Asia, the Middle East, the South Pacific and select Latin American regions, you get complimentary meals, mid-flight snacks and beer or wine. Sit back and enjoy!
Does United charge for carry on?
Most passengers are allowed one carry-on, in addition to your personal item, at no charge. If you try to carry on an oversized or overweight bag, you may get charged a gate-check fee. And be sure to check your ticket—if you’ve purchased Basic Economy, you’re only allowed a personal item. You can ask Orbitz customer support if you’re not sure about your baggage allowances.
How many countries does United Airlines fly to?
United flies to 48 countries in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. In all, you can fly to 353 airports with United—so you’re sure to get where you’re going.
